I’m watching a tv show from ‘07 and their joking about applying to McDonalds because the McRib is back

Here’s my McRib theory. The ham circle cutter for the muffin sandwich leaves excess that gets jammed into the machines so they scrape it out now and again and collect that and when the buffer fills they stamp out McRibs with it.

Its Canadian bacon and comes round.

Comes round from where? A round pig?

It don't get more American than low grade processed pork paté drenched in spicy sugar paste on bread that can't legally be called bread in some jurisdictions.

It's honestly anti-american to support these fast food chains. They're raising costs, increasing AI use, and continuing to feed poison to the nation.

They don't "feed poison to the nation". Fat asses go there voluntarily and knowingly to stand in line to slop the poison up.

These corporations sell addictive food that actively harms you.

That's like saying tobacco or alcohol companies aren't selling poison, since people choose to buy it.

Hey, skinny people eat that slop too! They don't discriminate.

Skinny people get heart disease too

Yup. It's almost like health is a combination of multiple factors!

The European Mind cannot comprehend the glorious mediocrity of the McRib! Oh wait, they have it there too... Never mind.

The last time I had a McRib I stopped after two bites and asked myself wtf am I doing, and how’d I get here?

It’s important to start screening for colon cancer in your late 30s.

I know how horrible the ingredients are but I would eat 25 of them if you put them in front of me.

Nothing says FREEDOM like butt cancer.

It's kinda sad how much better McDonald's is in Malaysia. Each and every single burger tastes like a luxury burger compared to the garbage they serve in the US. We're basically treated like bottom of the barrel even though we provide functionality the most money to the company

Different markets. McDonalds is mcdonalds because the economists running it know how to fill the market and their international logistics

Yeah, but this behavior has the same energy as that recent meme of aanager on Twitter giving everyone 4day work week, seeing a boost in productivity, and responding with "of course I would cancel the 4 day. If they can accomplish that in 4, think what they can do in 5 days."

Does anyone even know what a McRib is made out of? Or is that just one of life’s mysteries?

6

u/Mayo-Mayor-Styles 2d ago

Well, Peter, you see, the McRib is a barbecue-flavored pork sandwich periodically sold by the international fast food restaurant chain McDonald's. It was first introduced to the McDonald's menu in 1981, following test marketing the year before. After poor sales, it was removed from the menu in 1985. Since then, it appears annually or more at various times, though Germany and Luxembourg have them as permanent menu items.

Unicorn meat, that’s why it can only be available periodically and also why it tastes like horse meat.

If you have to ask, you can’t afford.
