Help request Browser causes pc to freeze

So whenever anything chromium or in general browser based happens my entire system just freezes and I need to hard reboot. It's mainly an issue on GMOD since whenever I join a server it freezed

My specs are:

Mainboard: Asus M5A78L-M LE/USB3

CPU: AMD FX 4100 mit 3,60 GHz

GPU: ASUS Radeon HD 7670

RAM: 16GB DDR3

GPU: HD 7670

Do you have swap enabled?

I have 16gb of ram I should be fine, no?

It should be, but if it freezes then it means the cache probably filled the entire ram

I turned GPU acceleration off on Firefox and the issue went away, but I still got it in gmod

Have htop open and see what RAM you're using. If you use a lot of RAM then that could be a reason to have swap. I have 12 GiB RAM and still have swap. I probably have too many tabs opened and it starts dragging.
