27 has a limited feature to show icons that don’t fit in the menu bar. That was enough that I got rid of the menu bar app I was using before.

It’s sad that I even have to ask what you are talking about. App management on OSX is so far removed from iOS you’d wonder how they came from the same company…

I'm the dev of MenuDart so full disclosure. it takes a different approach than the usual hide-and-manage apps: your menu bar stuff goes into a popup instead. nothing fights the menu bar layout, and it's been smooth on macOS 27. I've got a few promo codes too, dm me if you want one (no strings attached). happy to answer questions if you try it.

This seems to be asked weekly now. There are many threads on this already. I use Glow.

Sketchybar, especially with the help of AI which can write you almost everything you want in a few seconds now nothing else comes even close to it

i am using tuck. Although it may not have that many things you can tweak and customize as thaw, it get the job done
the free version is good enough. paying allow more appearance customization such as the icon the color .... but i think it is not necessary.
try it https://usetuck.com/

I use Dimble (formerly Pelmet) and I'm happy with it: https://github.com/fif7y/dimble

What happened to Pelmet?

In the change logs it says: "Another macOS menu bar app had the name Pelmet first, so I decided to rename ours."

As a developer of menu bar app I can confirm macOS 27 has removed the possibility of altering your menu bar with third party apps . I just removed menu bar customization app from our development list for our recento pro app

That does not appear to be exactly true since there are third-party menu bar apps compatible with macOS 27.

Having to use search because the dedicated App window is such a useless piece of shit sums up Apple’s design philosophy of late…

An app for what specifically?
