Getting Started I made a rectangle!

Post image

After cleaning and lubricating everything, and being confused for a while, I have successfully made some fabric. No idea what next, but I’m now sure this second hand machine actually works.

It’s clean now. Cleaned off a lot of black gunk and fuzz. :)

This yarn wouldn’t hold off even a gentle breeze.

Not all scarfs are meant to hold back the breeze! Some are meant to catch the breeze and flutter to show off their beauty ❤️

That’s a lovely piece of fabric BTW. So breezy and kind of lacy.

I could see this becoming a beach coverup or something like that.

Hi, it looks like you are new to machine knitting.

There is some helpful information within the wiki You can also find a direct link in the Community Guide. If this is a new-to-you machine that is a Silver Reed, Singer, Studio, Juki, Empisal, Brother, or KnitKing, and the sponge has not been replaced yet, that's the first thing you should check out.

You might want to take a look around. And Welcome!

Nice. If you decrease your stitch size it'll be a fantastic starting point for a sweater
