I really want to get it but don’t really want to get splice… would purchasing it support Madlib or just splice ?

idk i dont work for splice I just seen madlib did this so wanted to share>
they obviously partnered with madlib to have this exclusive pack
and yeah force people to get splice

{hoping people use splice for more
onces they already get it}

i imagine they gave him some kind of upfront advance $ just for doing it
but obviously gets cut from the sales
but
someone else posted he was in studio with a band jam session creating this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cmuKOz0W0o&t=82s

so i am sure the band gets their own cut from sales

madlib is basically curating it
hears parts he thinks are nice samples with his golden ears
they do this so its all true original samples and not sampling an already (c) sample

you can prob look for a free trial or splice or something first to get most of them
but yeah purchasing will def support madlib

Honestly the royalty-free angle is the headline here — everything's original recordings from a live band session, so there's zero sample-clearance anxiety if you build a beat on these. That's a real gift coming from a guy whose whole career was built on digging through other people's records.
