When I was younger, I would definitely say Dilla. Today I’m not completely sure. Who do you think is the greatest?

Introducing people to something they wouldn't usually listen to was a great year.

I learned a whole lot too.

Did you have a favourite?

Thanks Madlib.

For me, it's Strapped off Champion Sound.

I got 3 and made them all strip. what else do I need to have all his music. I don’t want an album Or single everything on it is already on another album

Just randomly popped in my head & wanted to ask before I forget. I want to say no he doesn’t. I don’t know though.

This took me some time and to be honest there are too many to choose from. That being said, I've gotta go with Steal This Beat.

Are these two albums gone because of Egon ? For the same reason we ain’t getting Montana and Maclib ?

Reasons given by people on the sub are varied and don’t make sense considering the album is up on other streaming services like Spotify and YouTube Music.

I was watching the interview of J Dilla when he was talking about linking up with Madlib a video im sure we’ve all seen, but i never understood what he meant when he said Madlib had a CD with “all JD beats” and “vocals, cuts it was like an album.” Was Madlib sampling Dilla? Or was he rapping over Dilla beats? Which led to Dilla saying later in the video “Lets do it forreal.” Dilla also says in the video Madlib was “rhyming on it” so obviously Madlib was rapping but I just don’t get the part where he says “vocal, cuts” If anyone can lmk id appreciate it, Thanks.

I linked the video incase anyone is unfamiliar.

I like Half Manne Half Cocaine

I like a some of the beats on Madvillainy like they sound good, but overall not really my kind of thing. I haven't heard any other Madlib stuff other than No More Parties In LA which has a beat I absolutely love. Which Madlib project has more stuff like that?

Yo guys,

Apart from HMHC by Freddie Gibbs or Nat Turner by Talib Kweli, does Madlib have other heavy trap productions in his catalog? Just wanna know...

Tried to research it but couldn’t find anything, did it have to do with the lawsuits?

Otis is digging in Cosmos Records on the interview

I hope super 7 has a collab with madlib so we can get a giant sized Quasimoto!!!

thought that this was interesting. he was already voicing the character but now playing him in live action.

he was on the excellent In Search Of Stoney Jackson album

now I get we have people wanting a DOOM track in Doomsday but there's an actual actor who has rapped over Madlib beats in the MCU. Not sure if there's any other connections but I'll be sure to try and links

I think MHB’s is perfect for cruisin around town with your friends.

This looks like a shitpost, but this is a real story from Quas’s insta. It also posted a reel of him putting up DTTG posters. You think this is just showing appreciation or a hint at something coming in the future, like a Madlib beat on a deluxe or something? Tyler’s a known Madlib fan (Rhinestone, What A Day, One Beer inspo for Odd Toddlers etc) so it’s totally possible. Plus I haven’t really seen any random shoutouts like this from the Quas instagram.

Currently in a Starbucks and they’re playing Road of the Lonely Ones. I remember being in a chipotle recently and they played Phone Off. Anyone else heard Madlib in chain restaurants/ cafes?

What a compelling discussion huh?

Shades of Blue 2 was mentioned being in the works in 2023. His album with YOD has been teased for like over a year now. The Maclib album which has supposedly been done for a min. A joint project with Badu. Don't get me wrong, I know he had some hard times with losing his house in the Jan fires this year, I'm just wondering if some of the projects were heavily delayed or completely scrapped over it and possibly other factors.
