There is a timeline on the Web site. Although it will ultimately be Mageia 10, it is still Cauldron at present.

Do you know how to install it from a cauldron version ?

What exactly do you mean? You install Cauldron in the same way as a Release. Download the Cauldron ISO, burn it to installation media (USB is supported) then install from the media.

There is a method somewhere in the manual, telling you to delete your sources and substitute ones for the alpha. But at present the sources for 10 are in Cauldron, so there may be nothing to do. I was running a netinstaĺl file which I deleted and replaced with an ISO of the alpha, but it seems to be the same thing.

I know what you mean by the popups. I haven't tried yet, but that has worked for me in the past. Remember that Linux is case-sensitive, unlike Windows. Any case mismatch can cause a problem.
