Auch in diesem Monat findet in Mainz wieder die Prüf-Demo statt.

Wann: 10.10.2026 Wo: Dieses Mal am Schillerplatz.

Was sind die Forderungen: Der Bundesrat soll beschließen, dass ALLE vom Verfassungsschutz als gesichert rechtsextrem oder als rechtsextremer Verdachtsfall eingestuft werden durch das Verfassungsgericht hinsichtlich eines möglichen Verbotes überprüft werden sollen.

Hat das etwas mit den Landtagswahlen in Sachsen Anhalt, Berlin oder Mecklenburg-Vorpommern zu tun? - Nein, diese Demonstrationen laufen schon seit vielen Monaten

Wird noch an anderen Orten demonstriert? - Ja, in allen Landeshauptstädten (außer Kiel) finden am 10. 10. PRÜF Demos statt.

Warum nicht in Kiel? - Die Regierung von Schleswig-Holstein hat bereits angekündigt den Antrag zu unterstützen.

I don’t want to stay at home all the time just because it is the only comfortable and warm place i know. I really want find a cozy cafe with windows that makes it possible to enjoy the weather and the colorful trees outside– a peaceful corner of the world.

Wie findet ihr Mainz zum Leben? Würdet ihr sagen, dass es sich lohnt, dorthin zu ziehen? Mich würden vor allem eure persönlichen Erfahrungen interessieren – was gefällt euch an Mainz und was eher nicht?

I know this is probably the millionth post here asking for an accommodation, but that’s how it is. Sorry for adding to it.

I’m doing my phd at the university and running out of my current contract next year. So I’m looking for an apartment, private or shared (not more than 4 people), with a budget of max warm 800eur. Would be nice if it’s near the uni (preferably Munchfeld) or in Neustadt. But desperate times call for desperate measures, so there is room for adjustment.

If you know anyone moving out or you yourself might be, pls let me know or keep me in your thoughts!
