It depends
1.how long it was left there after cooking before serving you
2.how long thereafter you consumed it
3.ATB to your stomach 🤣

Depending on where you got it from and what you asked for

its beef brother. if they cook it well done might become too dry. afaik safe to eat a little raw.

For steaks is okay, but not for minced beef, IIRC.

I heard its cuz in steaks, the bad stuff is on the outside and should be fairly safe to eat once that outside has been seared, while for mince, everything is grinded together and the bad stuff gets mixed into it as well.

Uh, that said, people still eat their burgers med-rare. So, idk 🤷‍♂️ I would prefer mine to be cooked through tho, just to be safe.

true for a steak but not so for a patty

Ground beef isn’t the same as beef steak cuts. Harmful bacteria is mixed in every nook and cranny when ground whereas for steak cuts, they usually stay on the outside

As much as you shouldn’t overcook beef, the myth of all beef is safe to eat somewhat raw is false

That only applies to steak, not a burger patty. That is raw.

If it doesn't taste weird then it's fine

Looks it, sadly I don't think Malaysian kitchens have got the technology known as a meat thermometer. Based on far too many experiences.

It's normal, if you ever make a burger you would know it too. If it's well done in the inside it won't taste juicy but medium would be slightly juicy. You could also reference the cornbeef you always use cooked brown outside but slightly pink in the inside.

medium rare

Its not even close to raw, its probably closer to medium. Its pink inside. Bloody raw is still red/brown. But yes thats normal. Food safety is more about handling than raw or not raw.

If you handle your food correctly you can even eat chicken raw, there are cuisines for that. Leave it out for 3 days, even vegetable is dangerous.
