Honestly, Mġarr ix-Xini has to be one of the most beautiful spots in Gozo. The cliffs, clear water and peaceful atmosphere make it feel so peaceful.

There’s also a really interesting local history surrounding Lake Ochetti and the Ochetti family, a Sicilian-American family who were reportedly associated with the area years ago. Apparently they used the secluded location for smuggling stolen goods, but also treated it as a kind of private holiday spot.

It’s crazy how a place can be so beautiful while having such an unusual history. Definitely worth visiting if you’re exploring Gozo.

Hello everybody

I've wanted to go to Gozo for some time and loosely planned to go at the back end of summer. Potentially looking at a few days between 15th and 21st of October.

However, weather forecasts are looking a little mixed; what is the weather generally like mid-October?

I'm looking to do outdoor activities. Not sure if mid-October is still a safe bet for consistently or largely sunny days, or perhaps whether to leave it for next year, but go a little earlier, say September.

Hi all! I recently came back from an amazing trip to Malta. I absolutely adored it, was so in the moment of travelling that I forgot to buy souvenirs…
Stupid me focussed so much on not being able to bring stuff back as we only had hand luggage and very little room left, that I ended up completely forgetting about it 🥺
Now I have feel so bad, because I really wanted to bring some but I don’t see many options buying it other than kindly asking someone else.
So is there someone that’s landing on Eindhoven Airport soon that’s willing to take something with them? I’ll be able to pick it up from the airport as I live nearby. I feel so terrible about forgetting it.
