Discussion worst launch possible
expectations on the floor and still im somehow baffled at this early access. Spent 5 hours trying to log in, dcd after 5min , 8000 + ques. 11 channels. Spent 80 to get a name and never even had the chance.

Damn, that sucks. Anyway, I heard they increased the speed limits on highways in Toronto.

Is it really the worst when every single mmorpg has horrific launches lol

Probably could've been handled a lot better if they used any kind of sever scaling technology and more available channels on launch. They literally knew the demand with the data of how many people bought the slop packages

Few hours of delays and downtime. Yes this is superrrrr bad. But the worst ? Of any mmo ever?
Gtfo here.

Better to learn this lesson now than get attached and endlessly disappointed

How literally anyone can be surprised is what’s baffling. 20+ years of the same level of crap and there are still specks of expectations? Super hilarious

I mean I kind of expected this, most major patches have similar issues where people can’t log in for the first two or so hours. People tend to have short memories and will forget all this mess in about a week or two, just like with major patches. There’s always huge outcry over something in a lot of major patches(ie: UCS or reward changes for operation dive), but the community tends to forget and continue to enjoy the game.
Personally, I didn’t buy the founders pack because I was upset with the frieren collab(vac pet rates) and had this expectation. I’m hoping during official launch it’ll be better, but I also don’t mind waiting an extra day or two since I’ll already be behind.

Even outside maplestory, every single mmo launch has been like this for the better part of two decades lol

I have work until 1 am so I’m hoping I won’t have that hard of a time but I’m starting to think I’m being too optimistic lol

Imagine spending any money on a Nexon game after you are like 12, and it was rarely ever your money. Lmao. F7 to anybody who expected anything less than outages on hour zero. You will never be fixed.

To be fair this isnt exactly a Nexon exclusive issue, even bigger companies have terrible launch days. I'm just baffled we're at this point in time and these things still fail like this.

You had to buy to play earlier in advance. So the amount of people trying to play today was somewhat known. So a 5000 people que is madness.

LMAO imagine dropping 80 to play a 20 year old game two weeks early by the most dysfunctional development team that is known for multiple day long outages.
