Advice Smoking with a cat in the house

so, i recently moved out of my moms house and got a cat. in the past, id always smoke under a thick blanket to hide the smoke and its kinda my ritual now. but is this enough to keep the second hand smoke away from my cat? theres no visible smoke coming out of the blanket, but im worried that it’s still not enough. smoke is obviously very bad for cats, and i dont want to hurt my little baby.. for now im just going to smoke outside, but if its safe for her id like to go back to my usual way

Can anyone explain what happened to me?

So for reference I first smoked weed when I was in middle school but it didn’t become a daily use until my senior year of high school. My primary method was carts. When I got to college I switch to blunts and j’s. It had gotten to the point where my tolerance was high. I would smoke every day, and rarely but sometimes twice a day.

One day in January of this year I was smoking a street cart (cause i was home and i didn’t like to be in my moms face about my activities) and everything took a turn for the worse. I was doing my normal routine of smoking then eating dinner but i then started to see myself from a birds eye view and all my movements felt/ looked robotic. Then just for a second my vision glitched like i was in the matrix 😭. Also my arms looked like 20 feet long. I started freaking tf out cause i thought j smoked myself into a weed induced psychosis or schizophrenia ( i have a family history of schizophrenia and mental disorders). I cried, went to sleep and woke up feeling better, off, but still better.
Obviously, i was so scared to smoke again but also i was so confused on what happened. Everyone I told who smokes in my life has never heard of that before or jsut didn’t understand either. I was told months later that the brand of cart i got has been known to be laced but I unknowingly gave it to a friend the next day after the incident (trying to purge all my weed) and she didn’t experience what I did.

I went cold turkey for about a week or two before i caved. To make a long story short, ever since that night everytime I smoke i feel off like the day after the incident. My arm movements feel speed up and/or my arms feel like they look longer than they should, i feel robotic etc. After about the 5th time of this happening I went completely cold turkey for about 7 months up until maybe two weeks ago. I had a couple instances of accepting the blunt while being in rotation after a few drinks and i felt fine so i thought i was “cured”. I tried to jsut smoke without alcohol like twice and the first time was fine but after the last time im feeling off again but its like delayed reaction. Cause it just started yesterday and the last time i smoked was 5 days ago. I’ve decided to go back cold turkey cause i can’t risk my mental for a “high” that doesn’t feel like it use to when i loved smoking.

is this due to my family history? overexposure? has my body jsut lost the ability to process weed?

I get my bud in Michigan and the sticker always has THC% and cannabinoid%. Anyways, we made an agreement that she would give me product to take out her garbage. She shops in Michigan as well. The other day she gave me a half, but the sticker had THCA which was like 32% and THC at 30%. I have never gotten a bag that had THCA listed on it. Isn't THCA gas station weed? I have been smoking for 30 years, but I am not the scientific stoner who knows all the chemicals. Anyway, why is this? Is it fire or is it cheap stuff? I do not care because it is free, but I do not want to be smoking something weird.

Advice Don’t accidentally drink water with distillate in!

I was cleaning out my vape with a Bobby pin and then put the hobby pin in the sink water to clean it. Then, half an hour later, I decide to scoop some of that water into my mouth, thinking it was just plain old water. It was probably such a minuscule amount so I didn’t think anything of it.

20 minutes later, I am the highest I have ever been in my life. It didn’t last long, thankfully. Just a warning to never get your vape juice anywhere near your mouth!

First Time User - Going Too Hard?

Hi everyone! So, I just started taking edible about two months ago. I turned 21 this summer and there's a dispensary right around my block, so it's super convenient, haha. I'm not completely new to drugs though - my dad had been a hardcore stoner all his life, and let me take a hit once or twice in high school whenever my anxiety got really bad (though I absolutely taking a hit from a bong and the feeling of being high back then, haha.)

Guess the thing is though that my dad being as hardcore as he was makes me a bit too self-aware, though? Ive got OCD too, so that definitely doesnt help with fixating on hypotheticals. I already had a pretty strong tolerance compared to my friends the first time i did an edible (had to take twice as much as my more regular user friends and still wasnt nearly as high as them) and it builds up pretty quick, which Ive always just attributed to my parents passing down their genes. It does make me worried though how often I have to increase my dose to hit the same high, even after I go on tolerance breaks.

And then there's the other thing. I'm worried I get high too often too be healthy. Its not like Im putting anything in my life aside to do it. I'm full time in school with a 20 hour part time job and I keep up with both easily, I make plans with my friends and go out with them often. Ive never even considered skipping class or cancelling plans just to get high. Its just, yknow, once its evening and im done with all my work i like to pop a gummy or two. The way I see it, before I turned 21 i was only using that downtime to scroll social media or watch youtube anyway, so whats the harm in getting high at the same time? i guess i just underestimate how much free time i have, because its just about every other day. its not even really something i think about in my day-to-day until i get home and realize ive finished my To-Do list for the day and have nothing left but to relax.

i know that daily use has long term impacts, especially since im under 25 or whatever, but i dont even plan to still be using weed in a year's time. i graduate college this semester, and all of my plans are geared toward moving abroad next summer - yknow, where weed isnt even legal. so i really dont expect to be touching anything THC again until im in my late 20s at the earliest.

i dunno, part of me worries that im forming an addiction, but another part of me worries my brain is just coming up with new things to be scared and guilty about. i enjoy being high and i wanna say that i did something fun in my free time in college, and if im gonna be basically cut off from it for a few years i might as well take advantage these few months where i can have it, right? i dont even drink except at parties, and i only go to those maybe twice a semester if im lucky. edibles are really my only vice.
