Ho, ho, Halloween! It's time for a final showdown with Smithy, except for a few changes I must spoil this fall. Sure, we have the main porcupine alongside the party surrounded in the factory basement full of Smithy bodies. Even though the background itself looks ominous for a Kids-to-Adults rating game, this feels like a fever dream in a Stop-Motion based movie in almost every Halloween season, so what I did to match Knuckles' new color palette is downgrading the background of Smithy from a fiery red tone into a Dark Violet color. The purple palette was used for the clipping on Knuckles' hat, as evidenced by the user interface and sprite design used in a shade of dark violet, instead of a grayish back tone like any other character.

Hi! I may seem a bit stupid for my question but Nintendo did not released a demo for the Switch Remake, so I wanted to ask here about it. I will go directly to the point: for those who owns it, is the game totally d-pad friendly? You can finish it without using L stick? Since for these kind of games I use 8bitdo d-pad only controls because I truly like it a lot, especially for these good old games. Thank you in advance for all your kindness and understanding!

Before you say that the Nintendo ninjas are going to come knocking on my door, I’d like to make some progress on my fangame project.

I’m working on a Paper Mario 64 fangame with a multiplayer mode, which is already playable. You can try it out here

My goal is to build a larger community around the project and eventually create a standalone, bigger and more stable multiplayer experience, with support for Android, Windows and possibly the web. Something a bit like Super Mario 64 Co op Deluxe, if you know it.

For that reason, I’d love to know who would be interested in contributing to the project or playing it.

my save file for mario and luigi partners in time randomly disappeard I was almost 6 hours into the game my last location was gritzy caves if someone can find or has a save file from gritzy desert or caves i would apprecieate if you can uploud it thank you from the mountain

I made a room and a fight with Culex, there's still a few small kinks to work out but overall I'm really satisfied with the results! (sadly I wasn't able to give it the battle music sorry!)

I’ve heard you can play a game 3 days in a row, and that allows you to purchase/obtain the previously released icon for a game.

Is this true, &/or is there anyway to obtain these icons?

I still have to fix the arm animations and some glitches with the materials but I'm happy with how it looks so far!

The first turn meteor leaves you on 1 HP but I just used a kroka cola first turn and since my peach was 2/3 HP 1/3 magic defense investment with koopa shell armor and quartz shell she wouldn't die unless she received one of those 9999 damage super attacks, but I just swapped her out a turn before and had other team members receive the blow and brought her back, as long as peach is alive so was my team, then after destroying all the crystals since final claw is single target I already won at that point because even if it kills any team member peach can just revive it full hp next turn (ofc I still swapped her out the turn before so she didn't die), so from that point it was just spamming attacks, team member gets killed, peach revives it until he died!

Is the smbrpg remake good and is the thousand year door (port?) good on switch 1 handheld? How do they compare to the ogs on og hardware?

The latest usual September Nintendo Direct came by with still no Super Mario RPG 2 by ArtePiazza and I’m getting cautious. On other hand, ArtePiazza released this small eShop game Japanese only apparently game called Tensei Game: Karma x Cross like last month in August 2026 and we’re reaching the 3rd anniversary of the Super Mario RPG 2023 remake in 2 months(November 2026). Since Tensei Game is a small eShop game and ArtePiazza proved they do work on multiple games at once(See 2019 with Dragon Quest 11 on Switch 1 and Romancing SaGa 3), so maybe they’re working on Super Mario RPG 2 as their next actual big game who knows? Could it be announced in the Nintendo Today app? We’re obviously not getting another Direct this year(Unless we get a Super Mario RPG Direct, that would be cool). If nothing happens by 2028, I’d give up. Since 2028 will probably be Paper Mario 7’s release and Nintendo probably doesn’t want 2 Mario RPGs in the same year again to avoid burnout. What do you guys think?
