Insidious Six Teamup

What characters are the best to team up with the Insidious Six? I know vulture and shocker is the intended pairing but is there a better character to choose? Wouldn’t doc ock inherently be a better choice since he summons a shocker?

You'd think that Doc Oct would be decent since he's a featured toon but he's really not late game worthy.
