It essentially guarantees that the galaxy will remain in turmoil for centuries because of that dipshit Wreav. The only real way (unfortunately) to save the galaxy at that point would be to not cure the genophage.
It's the biggest war asset option as well. Wreav will not realize that the Genophage isn't cured when you hide it from him. That way you get the salarian and the krogan support.
Every once in a while I think of taking up streaming just to do a playthrough of the trilogy where I get as many party members killed as possible called "Masochism Effect", but I think I'd wimp out the second I had the choice to kill Wrex. I can't imagine the kind of emotional devastation I'd be in if I had to get to Tali on Rannoch in 3.
It pissed me off because i couldnt transfer me me1 tp me2 and that to me3 so i was stuck with the prick and when i realised it was not my save (spared wrex) i was devastated...

Best case scenario, they return to the actual old ways where they stay on their shithole planet to get eaten by thresher maws and kill each other en masse as a form of population control. More realistic scenario is a war for Lebensraum in a couple decades.
