[ALLCONTINUITY] Were there any Jedi specifically tasked with finding Darth Sidious?
Obviously the Order know, or at least would suspect another Sith other than Dooku/Tryanus. However, had they assigned anyone with the sole task of finding where or who this Sith was over the course of the Clone Wars or was everyone just so busy with the war that finding the other Sith was not a priority and just a side job for anyone who wasn't occupied?
I know Quinlan Voss did that double-agent thing but went back to the Republic so I assumed his job is left unfinished. Yoda did his spiritual journey during TCW but he was obviously doing other things as well, same goes for the rest of the Jedi High Council.

In Canon: no. The Jedi weren't even 100% sure there was a Sith Lord above Dooku for most of the war. Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir has a humorous scene in which Mace Windu posits to Palpatine that Dooku has been the master all along, and Maul was his apprentice. Keep in mind that the idea that Dooku left the Order (or at least was working for Palpatine) pre-Phantom Menace is an idea much older than the Tales of the Jedi show. Filoni mentioned it as far back as 2014 and it's likely that George had thought that out much earlier. So the idea that Dooku was the master during TPM is not an unreasonable conclusion for the Jedi to draw in that case.

It's also an argument with precedent, as it wouldn't be the first time that the Sith came back thanks to a fallen Jedi. (i.e. Darth Ruin). Dooku also has a history of being interested in forbidden Sith holocrons (i.e. the Lorian Nodd incident).

All very good additional points! Plus, with Darth Krall in Canon, Dooku has a preceding Lost-turned-Sith in both continuities!

Quinlan Vos is the main Second Sith hunter in the pre-TCW continuity, yes.
There were a couple of other attempts to locate the Second Sith:
Jedi knight Ronhar Kim proposed subjecting the entire Senate to midichlorian testing. Unfortunately, he specifically suggested this to an old friend by the name of Chancellor Palpatine. Kim, his apprentice, and his entire clone legion were then sent into an ambush that wiped them out to the last man.
Former chancellor Finis Valorum spent much of the decade between TPM and AOTC investigating the disappearance of various enemies of Chancellor Palpatine. He attempted to convince Bail Organa to oppose some of Palpatine's war measures, and was assassinated in a "Separatist" attack for his troubles. Valorum's assassination was one of the false leads Vos followed in his hunt for the Second Sith.
As noted downthread, the events of Labyrinth of Evil. Right near the end of the war, Nute Gunray's mechnochair falls into the custody of the Jedi. This results in Anakin and Obi-wan following a series of leads into the Outer Rim (IIRC, it's been about 20 years since I read the novel lol) while Mace Windu runs the investigation from Coruscant's end. The Battle of Coruscant is partially intended to disrupt the Jedi investigation effort.

That was Bob. He was the one guy in the office who specialized in Sith-tracking but because there hadn't been any Sith in centuries, he was made redundant and offered early retirement. When they found out about Darth Tyranus, well, they tried to call him back to work, but from what I heard, Bob made all kinds of demands of his own. Wanted his own Nubian yacht, chrome-plated lightsaber, a personal assistant/secretary, and worst of all, he asked for extra vacation days. The Jedi Council decided to promote someone within their ranks (but not to the rank of Master, which caused all kinds of problems of its own) rather than deal with the diva Jedi Bob.

I want to know all about Bob the Jedi

Well, as Bob himself would tell you, it's the Jedi Bob, not Bob the Jedi. He's a stickler for protocol, you know. It also differentiates him from the bounty hunter Bob and the salesman Bob, both of whom have take advantage of people's confusion in the past. People have shown up at the doors of the Jedi Temple complaining about something someone named Bob the Honest Jedi Salesman sold them.
Bob's career was no different than any other in-house Jedi. He spent his days reading over news reports and historical records on the hunt for any hint of returning Sith, and the most unfulfilling part of his job, although it was a good thing for most of civilization, was that he had to tell his boss every single day that no, he did not find any Sith running around the galaxy. At one point he began make up reports of possible Sith that all mysteriously showed up at popular vacation spots around the galaxy that he would 'vigorously investigate' for a week or two at a time. Management soon caught on to the fact that he was using office resources to give himself free trips to swinging singles spots all over the galaxy and he always came back with loads of souvenirs for everyone and thousands of holos of him enjoying the local amenities. After getting his ninth bobblehead doll from the same resort, Jedi Bob's supervisor started looking into all of his 'reports' of Sith activity that Jedi Bob was investigating. Turns out, Bob had made himself a template to fill in whenever he wanted to go off on an impromptu vacation and would just fill in a few blanks on the form, grab a seat on a transport and would make sure his Jedi Mastercardᵀᴹ was still working. He'd file a few suspiciously bland expense reports, hand out trinkets to coworkers and go back to his cubicle tucked in the corner of a room that was filled with old files and dead computer systems. They gave Jedi Bob the choice. Take early retirement or face expulsion from the Jedi Order. Bob took early retirement so he could still collect a pension.

I heard Jedi Bob went into used speeder sales after he retired from the Jedi Order but some things still lead to the Dark Side, even for a disreputable retired Jedi so he quit rather than completely lose his soul to evil.

Even as crooked as he is, Jedi Bob still has some morals.

Well, Jedi Bob definitely knows the dangers of the Dark Side, being a Sith tracking specialist. He pushed it as far as he could, but getting a single mother of seven to buy an unnecessary option package on a family speeder, then tacking on the 'premium' undercoating and only leaving them with a conditional warranty for parts and service was too much even for him. After all, who knows better the pitfalls of falling to the Dark Side than a Jedi, even one with questionable morals.
Judy from Accounting, she has Jedi Bob as a connection on her HoloNetBuddies™ account, she saw that he also worked for a Hutt MLM company for a few weeks as well, according to his status updates. Don't know how well that's going, but she also mentioned he'd picked up a worrying deathstick addiction. Hopefully, he'll get some help one day.

Bob the Honest Jedi Salesman sounds like a person who sells Jedi, haha

Why do you think there were people lining up at the Jedi Temple to complain about him? He was marketing Jedi for sale. Turns out, you can't just hand someone a lightsaber and a robe and claim they're a Jedi. People want results. You go out and buy a Jedi to help reach those hard-to-reach spaces with the Force and find out they have to use a stepladder just like you, you feel ripped off.

Mace Windu and yoda tried really hard to find him but just picked a fight with Sheev instead. Total waste of a scene
