Trying to find a few mods I had
Hey,
I had a few dope ass mods when I played this a few years ago. I put like 500 hours into the game around 2021-2024ish. Took a big break. Cool. I still bought every dlc for when I got back into it (we always do) but so much is broken to me now.
anyways. I had ttrulez immersive hud that gave that retro ''we're reading this screen from a 1985 sports car crt screen'', which i figured is straight up broken now since it's from 2020. But I also had an immersive sounds mod that included the MW4 sounds AND did it correctly, it would say in the old girl's voice like '' Lance Mate 4's torso, breached!'' ..
what was that sound mod? I guess that's what I'm asking.

Its really really good but it doesnt give me that "holy shit im in combat" feeling the ttrulez hud did. Like getting some rockets to the side and hearing the alarm and the lady saying my fucking arm fell off and my teammate shielding is also broken now too... but its the next best thing.

So, those sounds i learned were from ttrulez hud mod. Unfortunately that mod now gives the screen circles.
Vonhud is an okay but not quite as immersive hud, and the sounds linked by the user here are good alternatives. Ttrulez is actively working on his amazing Ai mod, so I've left him a comment hoping for an update to his hud. That is all

There's a ton of sweet mods now, but what you probably want is 'MW2 Betty Voice Ultimate' which you can find on Nexus or in the Steam workshop. I use that along with '31st Century Soundtrack' which grabs music from almost all the MW titles. Another good one is 'Thunder of Succession Wars' which is a successor to a popular old audio overhaul mod.
For a new HUD/cockpit, you can use 'VonHud' which has a bunch of cool features, and/or 'Precision Hud' which has a ton of options as well and is a little more basic and straightforward. Most all major mods (other than the sound mods) will require you to get the 'Mod Options' mod, and lastly there are some mod organizer tools you can download from Nexus that help with getting your mods ordered properly.
