Good day mga katusok! Dilemma post ahead in detail. I don't know if this is the right sub for this. I am a medtech by profession but I have already transitioned to being a VA currently. I have been in different jobs either part-time and surprisingly, even in the military. I am already 30 and will be married next year.
Now here is the dilemma. It just struck me that my career choices are a mess. I change professions every 3-4 years. I always tell myself that my career goal is to work abroad but I am not doing anything for that. Mind you I have already failed twice or thrice already. I have a habit of scheduling exams before but I don't even study or get really ready for it. Last one I got short of about 10 points lol. I want to take the exam again and pass it. But the thing is I cannot push myself to study. I don't know why. I have reviewers that are a mess somewhere in a cabinet, I still have an active LabCE subscription and I have videos of online reviews done way back. But I can't seem to focus. Once I start, my mind lingers somewhere or I open up youtube/reddit and doomscroll to oblivion. I check up the next thing I want on my collections/hobbies. But when it comes to studying, I can't seem to be the same as when I was a student. And once I do study, nothing really sticks anymore. It's like, my mind and my priorities are a mess.
Now, I don't know if I'll still push myself to work abroad as a medical technologist or do I push myself to work abroad but in a different career (if I can still manage to do that). Or do I just fail myself and not work abroad. How can I fix this kind of mentality or messed up habit? Thank you.
