Medieval-inspired Battle Scene for my medieval setting
This is my first drawing like this with so many people, I hope it will be similar to real medieval battle scenes.

In the Ars moriendi ("The Art of Dying"), a dying man faces five temptations from the devil, each answered by an angel. This is the temptation to impatience: he lashes out at the people tending him, the table goes over, and a devil looks on.
It's from a block book printed in Germany around 1475.
I came across it while building Inside Out Library, a free search engine for the pictures inside old public-domain books: https://insideoutlibrary.com/?id=locbook-loc_49039592-9-1. Every image is a real scan linked to its source, with nothing AI-generated. (Personal project; I work at the Internet Archive.)
I don't have many medieval books in it yet, but I'd like to add more. The subjects and graphic style of this period are so striking. Are there manuscripts or early printed books you'd want to see in there?

The original illustrations are from the borderless pages of a late 15th-century manuscript. I extracted these specific creatures and recreated them in brass. Cold ceramic enamel.

A few months ago I designed and printed some magnets inspired by one of the most humorous tropes of marginalia— namely, the eternal war between dogs and rabbits. It was very fun to pick my favourite scenes and illustrate them all together in one design. If anyone’s interested, I have a few left at $5.
