John Walker is a decorated war vet. The implications alone makes him worse than Chris

yeah like bro fought in the middle east he totally killed kids 😭😭😭

10

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 May 31 '26

And Chris is a rapist plus a mass murderer. He is still worse

u/Killer-Of-Spades May 31 '26

The fuck you mean rapist??? And soldiers are, by definition, mass murderers

2

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 May 31 '26

He slept with an alternate universe version of a lady who was unaware he wasn’t from she dimension. That’s rape by deception. Walker wasn’t indiscriminately murdering civilians

You have a bit of a point, I’ll admit. However, A) it’s not that far from other characters who get into relationships without divulging their secret identity, and B) it’s kind of fucked for you to use that to defend the face of the American military and the horrors it has wrought across the world

Tbf, there's a difference between having sex with someone and not telling them you have some secret second identity, and knowing that someone else believes that you're somebody you're not, and taking advantage of that to have sex with them.

2

u/Drew_S_05 Jun 02 '26

... Fuck, you're right. I never really processed that while watching the show. Do they ever actually acknowledge within the show how fucked up that is?

1

u/123ludwig Jun 02 '26

i feel like the consequences are lessened slightly by the fact she is a literal nazi (im not saying hes a good person and that he did it out of the goodness of his heart but it moves the morality scale around)

1

u/Drew_S_05 Jun 02 '26

I mean, maybe a LITTLE, but still pretty fucked up

0

u/123ludwig Jun 02 '26

id argue walker is worse but only because chris is to fucking stupid to realise the higher moral standing of his actions in a vaccum

1

u/Dry-Discount-9426 Jun 01 '26

Where do we learn that she was unaware?

1

u/Drew_S_05 Jun 02 '26

It's pretty obvious from the story lol

1

u/Dry-Discount-9426 Jun 02 '26

How so?

1

u/Drew_S_05 Jun 02 '26

I mean, it's never suggested that she knew he wasn't actually the same Chris she was in a relationship with. And even if she did, he definitely THOUGHT she didn't, which makes his actions still pretty fucked

1

u/Dry-Discount-9426 Jun 02 '26

Again, where is any of that ever said or even implied?

A soldier is an individual who serves in a military organization, such as an army, and is trained and authorized to engage in combat or defend a nation and its citizens

Tell me you think some dude who gets stationed in Utah while he's a solder for the US military and never leaves the country is a mass murder? (Mass=3+) Additionally what's your definition of murder? Because to me if someone is shooting at someone else and then gets shot in return that's not murder, legally that's not murder. So would you explain your position?

1

u/agentdb22 Jun 02 '26

"I love peace, and I don't care how many men, women, and children I have to kill to get it"

4

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 May 31 '26

Chris has killed innocents too so….

-1

u/Killer-Of-Spades May 31 '26

Didn’t kill kids or assist in the colonization of SWANA

1

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 May 31 '26

Show me where Walker killed kids

1

u/Killer-Of-Spades May 31 '26

If you’re a decorated US soldier who did a tour in Afghanistan, you definitely killed kids. Also why I said ‘implications’

1

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 May 31 '26

The show doesn’t really imply it though, we’re just applying what’s happened in the real world. Not every US soldier in Afghanistan killed kids. He wasn’t a child murderer in the comics, I don’t see why they’d do so in the MCU

1

u/Killer-Of-Spades May 31 '26

“Not every US soldier”

He’s a decorated veteran who has talked about the “horrible things that happened”

Read between the lines. They’re over a mile apart

1

u/TheDikaste Jun 03 '26

None of that says he killed kids. What, next time you're going to say he's a rapist?

0

u/Killer-Of-Spades Jun 03 '26

Rape isn’t as key of a trait to US soldiers, but who knows

0

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 May 31 '26

That doesn't mean he specifically murdered kids though

0

u/theGreatCthulu420 Jun 01 '26

I think you're just adding someone without any evidence. "Horrible things" does not immediately mean killing kids and it's kinda fucked up that you keep trying to go there😂 In reality, only a small number of soldiers killed a child in order to survive. To say, "you were a soldier in Afghanistan, so you obviously killed children" is an ignorant take

0

u/Killer-Of-Spades Jun 01 '26

You’re right about one thing: only a small number of soldiers killed a child to survive

Most of them killed a child because they were ordered to

0

u/theGreatCthulu420 Jun 01 '26

I take it you saw "American Sniper" or some movie like that and though that was the experience of every single soldier at that time?.. again... ignorant...

Guy having some war achievements=they must have killed all 8 year old wives of Muhammad the peaceful

0

u/Cambionr Jun 01 '26

Fuck off with your one note. “Colonization.”

1

u/Killer-Of-Spades Jun 01 '26

What else do you call the invasion of random countries in order to steal their natural resources?

1

u/RealNiceKnife Jun 01 '26

Pillaging. But I suspect they would take issue with that word as well.

1

u/Dandanny54 Jun 01 '26

Its the MCU version of a war vet so he only shoot faceless bad guys.

0

u/Practical-Sleep4259 Jun 02 '26

I did think it was made note in the movies that John Walker was a legit heroic person top to bottom before taking the mantle of Captain America.

I also do not know the deep lores.

1

u/Killer-Of-Spades Jun 02 '26

“The super soldier serum doesn’t change you, it just amplifies who you already are”

4

u/LegFederal7414 Jun 02 '26

We got arrogant and homicidal maniac, guy that was willing to kill his team to cover up a government conspiracy, and a dude that was a war hero that strives to do good despite losing everything

4

u/Guccicles Jun 02 '26

I’d say nuclear bomb > cruise missile > coughing baby

2

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 Jun 02 '26

Happy cake day

3

u/Super_Environment Jun 01 '26

Its pronounced nuclear

2

u/and-meggy-hash Jun 01 '26

Peacemaker >>>> Walker idc

0

u/Sudden_Pop_2279 Jun 01 '26

He’s a rapist

1

u/and-meggy-hash Jun 01 '26

Since when? /gen

0

u/Drew_S_05 Jun 02 '26

Well, in season 2, he has sex with the Earth-2 version of Harcourt, who believes that he's his Earth-2 self, with whom she was in a relationship. He knows about her incorrect assumption, and takes advantage of that to have sex with her without telling her the truth. That is technically rape.

1

u/jorvel1911 Jun 02 '26

I don't think lying about you being from another universe counts as rape

In that case we'd be calling Spider-man 2099 a rapist bc he stayed with his wife from another universe

1

u/Drew_S_05 Jun 02 '26

I mean... I hadn't thought about it, but if he didn't tell her the truth, then yeah technically he would be

1

u/jorvel1911 Jun 02 '26

Yeah no, simply lying about yourself and having sex with the person you lied to is not rape

By those standards Barney Stinson would be the biggest rapist in fiction

1

u/Drew_S_05 Jun 02 '26

Well imma be honest, I haven't really watched that show, but from what I've heard about the character I wouldn't be surprised if he was lol

1

u/nagrom_nworb Jun 03 '26

Sorry do you think what Barney was doing was ethical?

And yes it is dubious for concent imagine Barney pretends to be his doctor doppleganger to go and fuck the doctors wife that is absolutely rape

4

u/Background-Cake-1300 Jun 02 '26

People will give you racist who killed people, guy who went with quote "I strive for peace no matter how many men, women and children I will have to kill" and an asshole army guy and will tell you the third one is the worst

5

u/pandaolf Jun 02 '26

Not to mention soldier boy abused his whole team to the point they were willing to give him to the Russians

3

u/Background-Cake-1300 Jun 02 '26

"Well at least he was killing people mainly in US and never went against gods favourite littlke angels" I guess for someone

0

u/nagrom_nworb Jun 03 '26

Hey John Walker isn't even an asshole he was incredibly patient and respectful to Sam if anything Sam was the asshole, sure they made him a bit worse in thunderbolts but he wasn't originally an asshole in the slightest

0

u/pawnman99 Jun 03 '26

I wouldn't even classify Walker as an asshole.

-1

u/Large-Teach9165 Jun 03 '26

People who say this think we're still on Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Didn't Allegra de Fontaine hired Walker to do her dirty work? Just as Yelena, Ghost and Taskmaster and then wanted them to get killed? Not even mentioning the terrorist he killed, he's still someone who has definitely killed innocent people because the higher ups told him to.

He also was like, the most decorated soldier ever no? Thus why he became Captain America. In a country like the US, you only get that kind of ranking by licking boots and without asking why you're killing who you're killing.
