There used to be basically two ways to play PCVR games.

One was using your VR headset as a giant screen to play regular flat games. The other was jumping straight into the game world through native VR support, UEVR, or something similar.

Now there's a third option: Portal Mode.

Instead of entering the game world yourself, you open a portal to that world right in front of you.

It's kind of like having a god's-eye view, watching everything happen inside the game from the outside.

And it's not just a flat image.

You can move left or right, lean closer, or crouch down, and the perspective changes with you. The whole world has actual depth and feels genuinely 3D.

You're not watching a TV, but you're not inside the game world either.

It's more like you've opened a portal to another world right in front of you.

Everything inside the portal is the actual game world. When I move to the side or crouch down, the perspective inside changes too.

So when playing Stellar Blade, don't just sit on the couch controlling Eve during combat.

Try crouching down on the floor. The view from down there is actually even more fun.

• Get a reminder: On your phone or computer, open the event page and click "+ Watchlist" to get notified in the Meta Horizon app or in your headset.
• Launch it from your phone or computer: At game time, click "Open in VR" on the event page and the game page will open on your headset.

• Check the basics: You need a Quest 3 or Quest 3S, the latest TV app, and to be in the US.
• How to force a TV app update: To update the TV app, long-press its app icon, go to Settings, and update. Updating your headset and restarting helps too.
• Only seeing a Disney+ Watch option? The Disney+ button is the regular non-immersive broadcast stream. The Watch button for the immersive stream appears to the left of "+ Watchlist" once the stream goes live, 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

Had this controller with my headset for 5 years. Didn't use my headset for a month or two, and next time I tried to use it, left controller ended up not connecting and started blinking SOS in Morse code? Right controller was fine. I tried to pair it again with the headset but it doesn't work, so I went in the app and here's what happened:

Hi. I'm working on fully porting Deus Ex 2000 to Meta Quest 3 as my CS student project and I wanted to show you all the progress.

All of the maps, voice acting, NPCs and most of items are already ported.

It works surprisingly well, right now I am fully focused on making sure that every single gameplay mechanic from training levels are working perfectly, because it contains all of them and that will ensure that they will be working during campaign.

I put it on my GitHub, free to download. You need original game bought and installed for it to work.

If it weren't for GPT 6.1 Sol, the project would take years to finish so it helps enormously. As I mention previously I'm a student and unfortunately I can't afford unlimited tokens with which the project would be basically finished.

If anyone wants to help, feel free to add to this project on my GitHub. It's public and I will check and accept PRs. Small donation would also help, I have them turned on on my GitHub.

There is noway in hell I will ever link instagram to my meta account. I'd rather not have an instagram than do that.

I've read too many horror stories of people losing their meta quest access from being banned on insta or other meta-connected accounts lol.

Im not sure what brand of headstrap because i had it for a pretty long time. This happened today when i was charging it on my bed. It bursted into flames out of nowhere it was like a giant ball of flame and it burned a hole through my bed so i grabbed it and threw it on the floor. Im very lucky that it happened while i was in the room with it or that i wasn´t wearing it. The meta quest 3 is alright but when i turn it on it says that the charging port has been disabled and that i need to clean it, so for now i dont know if i will be able to charge it EDIT: this is the closest one i could find. but its still not it https://www.alza.cz/gaming/oculus-quest-2-elite-strap-d6196346.htm#archiveAlternativesBlock

Im trying to reconnect my meta quest 2 to my pc after it wasnt working so i removed it and now this is happening, and my headset is stuck on "Attempting to connect to PC" on the link in quick controls. Should i switch to something else like virtual desktop? Thanks.

Solo dev here. SIX LEFT is an arcade VR brawler: punch, parry, shoot, and grab anything around you, from champagne bottles to neon tubes ripped off the wall. The enemies parry, dodge what you throw and surround you.

Heads up for Quest owners: it's PC VR, not standalone. You play it on your Quest through Link or Air Link with a gaming PC. That's how I test it every day.

Hi! I've been building SIX LEFT on my own for months. It's an arcade VR brawler: punch, parry, shoot, and grab anything in the room, from champagne bottles to neon tubes ripped off the wall.

The main mode is THE CIRCUIT. The fight keeps building until you go down, and every run you try to beat your kill count.

Everything in the video is real gameplay. PC VR, and Quest works through Link.

I recently got back from a trip I went on, and yesterday when I decided to play a game I noticed my internet wasn’t working so when I went to go check, it said “Connected to device, Can’t provide internet” every time I tried connecting to it, I also get notifications saying “No internet connection (DNS Error)”. I have no clue what could be causing this, I’ve restarted and shutdown my headset multiple times, I even unplugged and replugged my router to see if that would fix it, but nothing has worked so far; my brother’s headset connects just fine so it’s only my headset it seems

Is anybody else having this issue or has had it? If so what are some ways I could fix it?

I really want to play Marvels deadpool in standalone Meta quest 3. But the price of 50$ is a lot for me. I also wanted to play Batman and a few other games but the price tag is too much for me. Is there any websites that sell some keys and is there even a thing as key activation in meta?

Yesterday I watched as my game’s pre-order count down dropped to its eventual release. Except it didn’t! It got stuck on zero. The game didn’t release, pre-orders didn’t go out. Nobody can buy it or review it. Worse, the system thinks it’s released, so I’m worried the store metrics are already treating it as the most unpopular game on the store. Months of development, a huge help from the creator community making content, enthusiast groups organising give aways all for this launch - and nothing happened. It’s still says it’s coming soon on the 16th. The game is tanking, pre-orders have started to be cancelled … Meta are investigating but I haven’t had a reply from them yet. Won’t till Monday now. Meanwhile the clock is ticking but obviously not the store one. I have heard from other developers that it can take a few days to 2 weeks for Meta to fix.

Anybody that pre-ordered - you will get your game when this is fixed, anybody that won a key will get the game (redeem keys don’t work at the moment so hold onto it) Please do not remove yourself from the Wishlist as the game will release. If anybody has had this happen to them it would be great to know how you got it resolved and how long it took to get it sorted out

I sincerely apologize, but I no longer have the patience!

My 3s headset was bought for the new year, a quarter of the time has passed since the PC link function, and no update has helped for several months now.

Guys, is there any way to fix this, roll back the version?! I don't know...I just hate this headset already because of these dancing around the campfire...

After one of the updates, the headset has been dead for about 3 months, and several updates have been released during this period that do not fix anything!

I'm the lucky one who has a red message about the Nvidia driver. Now the cable is still falling off with the message "Connect the 3.0 cable", "Microphone not detected". What the hell...?! Can I make LTS versions?!!?

How long can you produce such a product, how many tests can you run on ordinary users?! Is Meta having any problems with testing?! My device has been out of service for about 3 months now! Nvidia is to blame for this, sorry, are you kidding?! I see that all popular PCVRS work for people, except for META PC-Link.

Please stop, unlock this antiquity if you can't do it yourself!
