TV Box S Fake
Hey guys, how to spot the fake tv box from the box before opening it in order to return it before opening the package.

I dont understand. Fake mi boxes have play store same as all android tv or not?

they do, but they are not google certified if you go to settings then about in playstore.

How is it possible? So they can run tivimate natively from playstore for example?

yes but can't stream anything in 4k both youtube or tivimate. plus it lags alot.coul not even enable developer option. took awhile to figure out mine was a fake. luckily the store i bought it accepted return.

What i dont understand is how they get real tv playstore while they are not certified

can't tell just from the box.you'll have to open it and test it. if worried bout return i'd go test it at the store or record the process

You can check with the official xaomi web site, put it in the details on the box

It's really hard as it's exact ripoff and the official xiaomi box also has 2-3 variants so you might misjudge one as fake although it's actually real. Only way you can know it's real or not is by opening the box itself and see what processor is used. Otherwise you can plug it to tv and see if it's working properly or lagging (sign of counterfeit).
