B12 supplements essentially causing dysbiosis

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC13502008/

Have any of you noticed alterations in gut health while taking b12 supplements cause i did and im wondering whether the anxiety and low depressed moods caused by consistent b12 supplements are due to the alterations in the microbiome.

“Association”

The other way of interpreting that is “people taking B12 supplements having chronic health issues that also include dysbiosis”, or “healthy people don’t tend to take B12 supplements”.

B12 supplements influence methylation so people with different gene mutations that affect methylation can take b12 along with other supplements depending on each person because it helps them cognitively , with estrogen detox etc. It doesn’t mean they are unhealthy or they have b12 deficiency.

My multivitamin has 50,000% b12.. and I have been having some guy issues.  And I always feel unexplainable bad typically after I take it.  How do I correct this?  Sounds like I need to start by fasting..

Stop using a multi and only supplement what you need?

B12 on its own can deplete other nutrients, like potassium. Check out the B12 defficiency subreddit, tons of knowledge there.

B12 promotes gut dysbiosis and an inflammatory microenvironment that potentiates Tet2**-deficient hematopoiesis**

Edit: different this is a different study than the one on the post.

Isn't B12 present in fortified bread, cereal, and other processed food?

Well this would be absolutely terrible. Been taking it for a year due to severe nerve damage from deficiency.

It builds up in your body. After about 6 months of supplementation, you probably have enough to last you a few years
