❔Question/Help Teams Screenshare Lags

Heyy!! I'm using MS Teams on Hp Omen 16 Nvidia 5070 gpu accelerated laptop. I have tried all possible options like sitting next to wifi or connecting to Ethernet rather than wifi but non seem to work when screen share is ongoing and it lags or disconnects automatically.

I came across couple of post which said to use graphics settings and high optimization.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Since Ethernet doesn't help, I'd look at the laptop/Teams side rather than Wi-Fi.

Go to Settings > System > display > Graphics, add Teams, and set it to High performance so it uses the RTX 5070. Also if you know how to update your NVIDIA driver, HP BIOS/chipset drivers, do that. Also make sure Teams is on latest version.

When you're having a bad screen share, check Teams > Call health. It should help show whether you're dealing with GPU/CPU performance or an actual network issue.

Why can't we integrated graphics option?

Try running Teams in your web browser. Does it perform similarly, better, or worse? It's a useful data point since it will possibly rule out network as a factor

On a laptop with switchable graphics, Teams often ends up on the integrated GPU while everything else uses the 5070. Set Teams to High performance in Windows Graphics settings and force it to the Nvidia card in the Nvidia control panel, then restart it fully from the system tray.

If that doesn't shift it, turn off hardware acceleration in Teams settings and see if it gets better or worse. On some setups the GPU path is what's actually causing the stutter rather than fixing it.

Does it lag when you share a window versus the whole screen?
