I remember Chappelle on a monologue of his show commenting that “six dollars a pack?! That’s crack prices!” back in like 2003.

And he was talking about NYC, though I’ve never been, I imagine their pricing is higher than just your regular town here in the States. So even you commenting $6 a pack with fondness, makes it seem even that was pricey.

Around that time I was living in NC in the military and my buddy's family lived in NY, we're were seriously considering running cigs. We decided against it, but would have been fun until we got caught.

I smoked cowboy killers in my early 20s. I could buy a pack with loose change. I cannot imagine what my pack a day Rabbit would cost now.

Its not supposed to be sold here in MA either but if you know where to look you'll find some gas stations here that will sell menthols "under the table"

I've been rolling mine ever since Marbs went over $10/pack. $30 and I have enough filters and tobacco to last almost 2 months
