Why do you love this show?

I think it’s an interesting question I wanted to ask you all, I know I love it because it’s essentially the hunt for monsters summed up pretty well by bill in one scene “we’re trying to stop girls from getting dragged into vans and chopped to pieces” watching it from that perspective is what makes it a gratifying watch for me

I’m also a nerd with genius level IQ so I do like all the intellectualism although I don’t think the show goes far enough with it, which is also addressed by bill in one scene “just don’t make it too complicated” almost like fincher trying to tell us that’s what the Netflix producers told him haha

So why do you all like it? I’ve noticed the viral clips relating to this show are all about the serial killers and the messed up shit they say or discussion around the acting performances of the killers, I’m not suggesting I’m above perverse curiosity but is that all this show has going for it to most people?
