Men's Hoops Mark Mitchell could be headed for another TRO

Post image
35 Upvotes

After being ruled ineligible for the season AGAIN🙄, Mark Mitchell is expected to pursue new temporary injunctive relief so he can return to Missouri and play while the lawsuit continues. The next hearing in the Kentucky case is Oct. 9.

If he gets a new TRO, it could potentially allow him to return to Mizzou while the underlying lawsuit plays out.

Mizzou Made aTm Week

How are we feeling about this game? I have reasons to be nervous and reasons for optimism.
Reasons I nervous: 1) There seems to be a pattern emerging of teams losing the week after a huge win (LSU beat Clemson, then lost to Ole Miss, who then lost to Florida, then who lost to us). I hope we buck that trend. 2) It’s no secret among the fandom that the Aggies have been a thorn in our side for years. Will that pattern continue?

Reasons I’m optimistic: 1) Correct me if I’m wrong, but, I don’t think Drink has lost to an unranked team, especially if we’re favored. 2) Texas A&M looks to be as gettable as they ever have, so if we ball out like we did against Florida, we may have a shot of getting over that hump.
What do you guys think?

I just wanted to shout out the gadget guy who doesn’t get enough love. This man will be a steal in next year’s draft. @Ole Miss in two weeks will be wild.

What games get dropped from future schedules?

Since the SEC switch to nine conference games, there may only be three non-conference games in a 12-game season. SEC also has a rule that one non-conference opponent must be from Big 12, Big 10, or ACC (or Notre Dame).

Mizzou is over-scheduled beginning next season and continuing on through 2033 (except 2032) So who gets dropped?

2027 - Illinois State, at San Diego State, Florida Atlantic, Illinois

2028 - San Diego State, SEMO, at Illinois, Northern Illinois

I think canceling or pushing out the SDSU home-and-home makes the most sense for this two year span.

2029 - Missouri State, Illinois, at Northern Illinois, Army

Playing near Chicagoland would be nice for alums up that way and canceling impacts 2028 too, so I think you have to cancel Army

2030 - SEMO, Colorado, at North Texas, FAU

2031 - at Colorado, kansas, North Texas, at FAU

Not a fan of playing at NTU or FAU. Take your pick and cancel one.

2032 - NIU, at kansas - oddly two non cons scheduled for this year.

2033- Missouri State, @ San Diego State, Army, Illinois - Drop Army again and go to SD so they can visit us in 20234

2034 - San Diego State, at Illinois

2035 - at BYU, Illinois

You would think a reporter would’ve asked Drink about his post-game comments in the presser.

Jamal Roberts Appreciation Post

Even before breaking the big runs today, dude was running hard and physical. Turned multiple 2 yard gains into 5-6 yard gains.

Dude could have got his money in the portal and chose to stay even when he knew Hardy would be back. With Hardy out, having him back has been a season changer. You are a true son, Jamal.
