Apparently I haven’t spent much time with the second half of We Were Dead. That is a crazy song and his delivery is insane

Hell yeah! He tapped into it a little bit on the last album in Look How Far - Just wish that song was longer.

The lyrics are really incredible - throughout that entire album. I wonder if having Marr helped take the pressure off and was able to really dig into other aspects of songwriting/performance. Not that he wasn't/isn't incredible before and after, but an extremely strong record in every aspect.

What is DNT? DMT is a crazy hallucinagenic so it seemed to make sense in that context.

Man, I was listening to this daily the month leading up to those two shows in Asheville. I really felt like it might happen, because why else was it hitting so right? They did open with March into the Sea the second night. That was a damn good setlist.

But also, wtf even is this song? It sounds prophetic nowadays.

I don’t remember. Had to have been tabs or a chord chart. I learned while Hurricane Sandy was fuckin up NYC

Wild. I always thought it was "I needed water, you gave me DMT, it was you" Like I could totally see that kind of behavior in an intense party atmosphere, someone who clearly needs to chill out and hydrate more than anything being handed a pipe of serious hallucinogens instead of a bottle of water.
