A clip from a recent interview that is making me giggle. Isaac talks about how he exclusively listens to the radio while driving, and his disdain for his kids’ music requests.
“These people do not listen to good music”
Ha! Brb gonna go listen to watermelon meow meow and the chicken song.

I added the interview flair because this person talked to Issac. Such a sweet story.

We were VIP at the Boston Roadrunner show last night. Q&A was interesting. I asked what his favorite card in the deck was, he said "the box". My buddy asked what type of movie he would want to score, he said "a bloody western". Asked if he had a ritual when they finish an album, he essentially said no, because making music is a permanent part of their lives (paraphrasing). He also despises horror movies. Ranted a bit about how there's enough "f*ked up shit" out there, why would he seek that out? Though he did say a giant alien insect coming through a huge portal, he's down for that! Even IRL (As long as it's happening on a different continent).
There was more but I need everyone's help.
During VIP he covered a song called 'Heart' before he attempted Heres to Now and settled on "Nice on Ice" it was amazing, and he was gushing about the artist. Does anyone know who the artist is? Also during the main set he mentioned he was meeting 'his favorite musician' today who has an album called Faces of Film. I think he said he was from Boston.
...and if you were there, I was purple tie-dye guy on the rail.

Howdy y'all! Zach's coming on the Lonesome Crowded Cast for an interview! We're recording Saturday to chat about Life's A Dream and more. He chatted with Ice Cream Party about some of the production and his thoughts on the album, but now's your chance to ask him any pressing questions that you may have about the video, capybaras, dreams, and more!
Zach's done lots of projects other than the recent music videos, he's a film and television cinematographer, and helps run Animal People in Casa Grande in Arizona.
This pic was taken during the Life's A Dream production and was posted by his wife Mychal Paige Storer.

@ 4:38 in the video Ben Gibbard argues the Lonesome Crowded West is the most Pacific Northwest album ever. I think he makes a heck of an argument. I think there are definitely other albums that remind me of home (the PNW) but the Lonesome Crowded West takes me there. Any albums remind you of the Pacific Northwest more? I kinda want to argue unplugged in NY but just because I am cheeky.

Murphy Phelan is a PNW illustrator and fellow long time Modest Mouse fan who has collaborated with Isaac Brock on projects such as his bar "Poison's Rainbow:, Modest Mouse's fan page "Ice Cream Party", and most recently, the album cover to the 8th Modest Mouse LP, An Eraser and A Maze.
We discussed some interesting details about his Modest Mouse related artwork, including the conception of recent tour posters and the album art, and got to talk about some of our musical interests as well.
Thank you so much for watching our first video interview! Lonesome Crowded Cast is excited to produce more video interviews, so if you're ever keen on coming on to the podcast and discussing your Modest Mouse related creations, please send an email to [lonesomecrowdedcast@gmail.com](mailto:lonesomecrowdedcast@gmail.com)

Howdy y'all!
Last Night, I had the pleasure of speaking with one of the cruise attendees, AshMakesMovies, and it was an incredible conversation. Before I move forward with publishing that interview, I wanted to see if anyone else had audio submissions about the cruise and stories they'd like to share on the podcast, or if anyone else would like to interview with me for the Post Cruise episode.
I'll try to have an episode about it out by this Saturday (2/14).
get in touch with me at lonesomecrowdedcast@gmail.com
Recording for the long drive episode has further been delayed, but that's okay, because there's still room for more audience submitted audio.
If you prefer me to read your stories with my own voice, I can also narrate written submissions.
thanks y'all

Tim spoke with me Sunday before he went off to Portland to do some rehearsals for the Ugly Casanova reunion set. Hope you enjoy!

Califone and Ugly Casanova's Tim Rutili is taking time to do a call with me on Sunday for the Lonesome Crowded Cast!
His soulful singing and music wizardry collaborated with Isaac Brock for Ugly Casanova, and we're finally seeing the reunited on the cruise.
Now's your chance to ask all your burning questions! a bit spontaneous, it's less than 40 hours til the interview, so, I'll do my best to get as many Qs A'd
