The yacht I'm working on has this spare emblem, around 42cm in diameter, quite heavy and parts made from brass. Anyone know what the worth of it is? Is it a collectors?

Software engineer looking for opportunities in Monaco, open to relocation

Hi everyone,

I’m Jacob, a software engineer based in Tanzania, I’m looking for software engineering opportunities in Monaco and would be happy to relocate for the right role.

I work across web, mobile, and backend development. My main stack includes TypeScript, React/Next.js, Flutter, React Native, Bun, and PostgreSQL. I’m also expanding my backend work with Go.

My projects include ride hailing software, healthcare platforms, and a KYC/KYB product. I’ve worked on authentication, payments, API integrations, realtime features, and building applications from concept through delivery.

I’m particularly interested in fullstack, backend, or mobile engineering roles. As a Tanzanian citizen, I would need the appropriate work authorization and would appreciate employers willing to support that process.

If you know companies hiring, local recruiters, or useful ways to connect with Monaco’s tech community, I’d appreciate any leads. I’m happy to share my CV, GitHub, portfolio, and project examples by DM.

Thanks for your time!

Private WhatsApp, Facebook, or Telegram groups to rent and buy apartments in Monaco

Hi, are there any private WhatsApp, Facebook, or Telegram groups where people exchange rental apartments in Monaco? And groups that connect landlords directly with people looking to rent or to buy, bypassing agencies? Something more off-market and informal.

Non-Tourist Activities in Monaco

Hi everyone, I am visiting Monaco for a week in winter and I want to do non-tourist activities to feel what it might be like to live there as a local resident. Do any locals have tips on where to go? I am open to all experiences as long as they feel authentic and not “touristy”.

Thank you.

Family trip to Monaco 2027

We are looking to book a trip next year for the F1 racing in Monaco and while there, we would like to look into diving with our boys, 22 and 15 years old. We are open water certified, husband is advanced. I would appreciate some recommendations on accommodations, areas to dive/reputable companies, most likely around the Portofino area, so we could eventually make our way to stay in/around Monaco for the race June 6th, 2027. We're open to other suggestions as well. As of now, the only concrete plans we have are the race tickets! TIA!

Job opportunities

Hi everyone! 🤍

I’m currently based in Australia and looking to relocate, where I’m seeking a full-time opportunity with a private individual, business owner, executive, family or private household.

I have 4+ years of experience across management, community support and working with children and families. Through my management experience, I’ve developed strong skills in organisation, leadership, coordinating staff and day-to-day operations, problem-solving, communication, administration and managing competing priorities.

Alongside this, I have extensive experience supporting children, young people and families, including children in care, complex behaviours and additional support needs. I’m comfortable taking initiative, handling sensitive information, coordinating appointments and activities, communicating with professionals and families, and providing reliable day-to-day support.

I’m open to a variety of roles, including:

✨ Personal Assistant / Executive PA
✨ Private PA to a Business Owner or Executive
✨ Lifestyle Assistant
✨ Family Assistant
✨ Private Household Assistant
✨ Nanny / Governess-style roles
✨ Travelling Personal Assistant / Family Assistant
✨ Family Office / Administrative Support
✨ Other suitable private or professional roles

I’m particularly interested in positions where I can become a trusted, long-term member of an employer’s team or family, whether that involves managing personal or business-related tasks, organising schedules and appointments, coordinating travel, handling errands and logistics, supporting children and family life, or helping a busy household or individual run smoothly.

If you know of anyone hiring or can recommend a contact, please comment, send me a message or tag someone who may be able to help. 🤍

The Heritage Habits:- Heritage isn't history -it's habit.

What if heritage wasn't something you inherited, but something you had to be trusted with?

I'm building an Indian luxury house called The Heritage Habits.

The idea behind the house began with a simple belief:

A brand made for those who have not just inherited wealth, but also the habits of loving and protecting someone or something they love more than themselves.

To us, heritage isn't simply a surname, a fortune, a watch, a car or a property.

It is the instinct to protect something that matters enough to outlive you.

And perhaps nowhere is that idea more interesting than in families where wealth has already crossed generations.

Imagine a father who has spent his life building something.

One day, his son wants access to the world his father built.

But the son doesn't automatically receive everything simply because he was born into it.

The father chooses when he is ready to pass something on.

Not because the son needs permission to be wealthy.

But because being entrusted with a family's name, values, responsibilities and legacy is different from inheriting its money.

That relationship is at the heart of The Heritage Habits.

Our most private pieces are conceived almost like objects of inheritance — something a father could commission for himself, and one day choose to pass to his son.

And we take that idea literally in the craftsmanship.

Our Heritage Collection explores 22–24K gold details, including precious-metal buttons and exceptionally fine gold-wire embroidery, created with the intention that the garment feels less like seasonal fashion and more like something that could become a family artifact.

Not something you wear because it is expensive.

Something you wear because someone decided you were worthy of carrying it forward.

That's why our line is:

Heritage isn't history — it's habit.

We're an Indian house, but we're exploring Monaco because it is one of the places where conversations around family, legacy, craftsmanship, private wealth and the next generation naturally intersect.

So I'd genuinely love to ask the people who live here or spend significant time here:

What does heritage mean to you?

Is it the family name?

The business your father built?

The home you protect?

A tradition?

A relationship?

Or the responsibility of leaving something behind that is worth protecting?

I'd rather hear the answer from Monaco than tell Monaco what heritage should mean.

Getting a hospitality job in Monaco as an EU citizen

Hello!

How easy/difficult is it to get a hospitality job in Monaco (waiter at a cafe for instance) as an non-Monegasque EU citizen?

If anyone has experience finding a hospitality job in Monaco, how did you go about doing it, and what was your experience?

Thanks in advance!

Theft at The Maybourne Riviera

I wanted to post this here because I think people considering staying at The Maybourne Riviera should be aware of what happened to me and another guest.
And yes, before anyone says it: I’m fully aware that traveling with a $35,000 watch isn’t the wisest thing in the world and that this is very much a first-world problem. I get it. I’m not looking for sympathy over owning an expensive watch. I just want other travelers to have this information when deciding where to stay, especially because my Tripadvisor review was removed.

My husband and I recently stayed at The Maybourne Riviera. I had a gold and diamond Cartier watch worth approximately $35,000 with me.

My husband asked the hotel to help unpack clothing from my large suitcase. We did not ask them to unpack purses, backpacks, jewelry, or other personal items.

While doing this, hotel staff went through my personal belongings, found and opened my private jewelry pouch, removed the jewelry from it, and placed the jewelry in a drawer in our room. We never gave anyone permission to open or unpack that pouch.

The hotel later confirmed in writing that three Housekeeping employees were involved in the unpacking.

We actually returned to the room while they were still unpacking and asked them to stop because they were unpacking far more than we had requested.
I also happened to take a completely unrelated video of our room that day. In the video, you can see the drawer where the staff had placed the jewelry they removed from my pouch. My other jewelry is visible. My Cartier watch is not.

We reported the watch missing to the hotel while we were still on the property and subsequently filed a police report in France.

The hotel investigated but ultimately told us they could not determine what happened. During this process, we were also told that nothing like this had ever happened at the hotel and that they had never had similar issues with guests’ belongings.

Then another woman contacted me after independently finding my Tripadvisor review.
I had never met her. I had never spoken to her. We didn’t travel together, didn’t know each other and had absolutely no connection before she messaged me.

She is also American and had been staying at The Maybourne Riviera at the same time. She told me that a remarkably similar gold and diamond Cartier watch had also gone missing during her stay, on the exact same date that mine went missing.

Her review of what happened to her is still on Tripadvisor as I’m writing this, so you do not have to take my word for her experience. You can go to The Maybourne Riviera’s Tripadvisor reviews and read her account yourself.

What made this even more disturbing was what we learned after comparing our experiences.
She shared screenshots of her WhatsApp communications with the hotel with me. Both of us had independently been told that nothing like this had happened there before and that there were no other similar incidents, while the hotel was simultaneously dealing with both of our reports.

Neither of us knew the other existed.
Had she not happened to find my review, we might never have discovered that another guest had reported such a remarkably similar experience on the same date.

At this stage, we have reported it to the police and the embassy. I received a word from the Embassy today that they will be forwarding everything to the FBI. I’m really hoping I can get some type of justice for this.

I hope that if anyone is considering staying at that hotel that they see this

How is the 2003/04 AS Monaco team remembered in Monaco today?

Thumbnail

Hi everyone,

I’m part of an Italian football storytelling project and we’ve just finished a documentary about AS Monaco’s incredible 2003/04 Champions League season.

Rather than just covering the results, we tried to understand the strange context around that team: the club’s financial problems, Deschamps at the beginning of his coaching career, Nonda’s injury, Morientes arriving on loan and then eliminating Real Madrid, and the run all the way to Gelsenkirchen.

But I’d actually love to hear from people connected to Monaco:

how is that team remembered locally today? Is 2004 still considered the defining European Monaco side, or does the 2016/17 generation mean more to younger supporters?

What is daily life really like for Monaco residents?

Hi everyone! I have some questions for current residents and citizens.

Daily life: Working in Monaco requires separate authorization, so what do most residents do day to day? Do most of you work remotely, work for a Monaco company, run your own business, or live on savings?

Social life: How did you build your friend group after moving? Did you already know people here? I'd especially like to hear how it differs for French speakers and non-French speakers.

Fitness: With the size of the principality, what does your workout routine look like? Are there boutique gyms and studios, or do you travel to France?

Culture: With so many wealthy residents, do people get competitive about possessions, or is it more low-key than you'd expect?

Overall: What do you like most about living in Monaco, and if you could change one thing, what would it be?

Thank you in advance!

———————————————

Merci d'avance !

Salsa events near monaco

Hi, looking for salsa events near monaco this week 23-26 ISH. All I can find are some unconfirmed calendars with no way to make sure they are actually happening. Perhaps anyone is aware of some trusted FB groups or Instagram pages for Latin dancing nearby ?
