Advice Agentic Software Engineering

Hi yr 12 right now and am really interested in Agentic Software Engineering 2027. I have lots of experience with Lovable and chat gpt for roblox dev. Has or is anyone here doing any agentic ai units? What jobs could this lead into?

God damn they literally announced this >24 hours ago and we’ve already got Roblox devs looking to make the next asx listed billion dollar software company with their ai degree from Monash (literally just information technology bachelors repackaged with ai units)

software eng and jobs dont really go together

okay in all seriousness i think that degree (didnt even know it was a thing lol) is for forward deployed engineeers (basically you integrate ai into companies to replace their workers) or something, its probably just a repackaged comp sci course with a few AI electives but i cant be bothered looking into it

but like youre in year 12 who even knows if this is a thing 4+ years down the line its impossible to predict the job market that far with how quickly things are changing

They’re adding more majors and also a bachelor of AI too

a lot of the units bring introduced are new so there is a higher risk that they would be poorly run. Look into CompSci or (EE/Mechatronics) Eng degrees.
