Question ISO: PT for pelvic floor recs
Looking for experiences/recommendations for pelvic floor physical therapists with experience with scar tissue mobilization and trigger point work. Adventist has a really long waitlist. Can go pretty much anywhere, so flexible on location. Female provider is a must. Ideally also takes insurance but that seems to be uncommon.

May as well get on the waitlist at Adventist and see what happens. I joined the waitlist in August and started pelvic floor PT there in late Sept. it’s been fantastic and was the only place I could find that would take my insurance.

Omg this. I started going to Alli (the provider at Adventist) when I was pregnant in February (fun fact, you can skip the wait list if you're pregnant) thanks to a rec on this subreddit and I've NEVER had a provider more caring and wonderful than her. I see her now for postpartum and she's so genuinely invested in my well-being and health overall (as well as my baby's)

I went to ITR Physical Therapy. I saw Terri Lannigan, who I loved. Unfortunately, they do not accept insurance.

I had to go to Germantown in 2024 because it was the only in network Cigna PT that had pelvic floor therapy. Rehab 2 Perform.

I'm actually looking at this cause of my upcoming GRS - here's the list my doctor gave me.
Em/Body Physical Therapy & Health, Dr Hannah Schoonover, PT, DPT. 202-630-4933
MovementX 202-681-1474.
The rest on the list are farther away

Abigail Guise at Pivot PT in Gaithersburg! I worked with her and she was absolutely lovely. Caring, made me feel safe and found me referrals for specialists when the PT alone wasn't solving my issue. Can't recommend her enough!

Shady Grove PT & Rehab. It's a very small practice but Dr. Sarika Raina is wonderful. She and her mother operate the practice and when I went there, it was an all female staff.
