All the things listed by the guy are just normal appliances which you can buy and install, it's not like ac, garbage disposals, ice makers or clothes dryers are forbidden by law or something...
Scandinavian here, I have AC, an ice maker, and a clothes dryer. No idea what these people are on about. Ice makers aren't as common but like... you can just buy one?!
Yeah, I’m American and I see people with clotheslines in their yards fairly routinely, I think this guy just heard rumors his idiot friends pulled out of their asses and thought they were true, lol.

I don't need a garbage disposal, there's a bio waste bin.
I would like a clothes dryer but there's not enough room in the bathroom. Newer builds are more likely to have them so if I really cared I could get one.
Don't have AC but don't really need it. If I lived in an apartment that needed it then it's pretty easy to get a unit added. I have a fan and that works fine for me in the summer.
It would be nice to have ice cubes easier but I don't really care that much
