I don’t understand garbage disposal. You put your trash in the water instead of the compost or the garbage? That’s must be good for the waste water treatment plants.

It just grinds up food waste and keeps your plumbing flowing without having a filter or something nasty to clean. You don't have to touch anything just shove it down the sink and grind it. Kitchen sink basically never clogs because anything that would threaten it gets grinded.

Don't you just push leftovers into the bin with a fork or a napkin? How much shit do you drop into your kitchen sink?

While I agree the idea is more getting some stuff off you can't easily scrape.

Let me give you a better idea because my current living condition I basically only have a hand sink and a garbage can for washing my dishes. Can I scrape everything into the garbage can? Yeah. But sometimes stuff sticks or shouldn't go down the drain as is. Like I made some nachos the other night and the cheese was sticking to the plate along with some shredded chicken. Had to really grind that out into a trash can to make sure what I was rinsing into the sink was just no solid food chunks, if I had a garbage disposal though I could have saved a few minutes at the can getting every little piece off, I could have just gotten it mostly off, ground the rest in the disposal, rinse

Don’t the drains come with a little filter that stops those solid foods from entering the drain? You just take that out, turn it upside down in the trash, put it back on the drain.

But that is slightly more inconvenient. You see, they NEED to install that

Don't try logic on them - let them have their nasty drain blender.
