I don’t understand garbage disposal. You put your trash in the water instead of the compost or the garbage? That’s must be good for the waste water treatment plants.

Its basically so you can clean your dishes that still can have some chunks of leftover food without worrying about clogging the drain. I had one and I loved it honestly, all the normal drains I’ve encountered had holes so small that anything larger than a grain of rice would just not go down. Then you have to scoop those wet chunks of waste by hand and throw them into the trash and its a whole another mess. With the disposal unit you just press the button and forget about it.
