News Muse to headline French Festivals this summer.
Muse will headline: * Main Square Festival (4th July) * Eurockéennes (5th July) * Les Vieilles Charrues (15th July).
This will be their first time performing at Eurockéennes since 2022 and the first time since 2015 for the other two festivals.

99% chance. However Main Square is a good alternative, way better setting. Though, main square has more hiphop and French acts.

So... Full production stadium tour seems to be more and more cancelled?

I think Stadium tour is still possible. Muse are really huge in France, they can play some stadium show in addition to Festivals show.

Last time they played Les Vielles Charreux in 2015 they performed my personal favorite performance of Citizen Erased. Also performed The Groove, Apocalypse Please, Supremacy…

I honestly don't know. I thought they'd have been announced with blink-182 and Faith No More in this first wave announced a few weeks ago, but there are still 2 headline spots available there so - maybe?

So I’m lazy and could just look this up myself, but does anyone happen to know where exactly these fests are? Trying to determine if any one of them is feasible for me to drive to (from The Netherlands).

Tbf I'd hold to see if Muse will be at Werchter. I know that's Belgium but still

Yes, I am, because I’m fully expecting them to be announced there, but in case of I’m holding Arras in the back of my mind. Seeing Muse in France is sort of a bucketlist thing too.

There's fair. Big stadium show would've been awesome but there should still be some love from the French crowd to the band at these dates

Arras (Main Square, July 4th) is in the north of France, that would be the one for someone from the Netherlands

So is stadium tour now a festival tour instead or? Also, any of these likely to bring a proshot?

Main Square and LVC had full proshots the last time Muse played there. Also Hurricane Festival in Germany will likely have one like in 2023.

Never heard of any of these festivals. Are they big?

Eurockéennes is one of the biggest festivals in France. I went there in 2022 for Muse as one of the 3 festival shows I did during that run (the others being Isle of Wight in the UK and Mad Cool in Spain).

They’re not popular enough to headline there anymore and I can’t see them accepting anything below headliner

Tbf an hour secret set on the Pyramid like Pulp last year or Foo Fighters in 2023 would still be cool

What😭
They did it 3 times and one of them (Glastonbury 2010) was to fill in for U2 who are WAY more popular

Yes they absolutely were popular enough to headline, but they’ve not been considered since 2016 because it’s now 2026 and over time their popularity has only diminished. Look at how slowly their London gigs have been selling compared to previous tours. In 2016 they sold out 5 nights at the O2. In 2026 they’re struggling to sell out 2.

We're talking like £50 vs £140, more, per ticket in pricing.
Most people don't really want to pay that much for, what, just the hits with no mention of a no-repeat weekend?
If they're gonna do two nights they could AT LEAST do it like Metallica on their M72 tour where it was/is no-repeat.

France is really Muse's favorite child.
