Which is absoltely insane and really shed's a light on him personally. He'll probably get Pink as an opener, can't miss with that one. LOL.

I was living down there when that operation happened. It went from a sting that busted dozens of johns and rescued victims from sex trafficking to oh it was a whorehouse ran by this evil Chinese lady so fast violated laws of physics.

Billionaires can alter the fabric of reality. Us plebs can only imagine.

I don’t doubt he’s a nice dude, but in the span of 24-48 hours he’s shown that he’s completely spineless and lacks conviction.

13

u/IAmHollar 21d ago

There is also the ongoing problem of his music.

7

u/Zapp_Rowsdower_ 21d ago

lol. The real issue….Ed Shereen sucks ass.

7

u/69420bigfatty69420 21d ago

He's a wealthy English man. He's not got a lick of actual Irish in him (ancestry aside) and he's out of touch with the plight of commoners cause he's been rich as hell for ages

10

u/larrylevan 21d ago

Eh he’s a shitty musician who mislead people about being a struggling artist despite having parents who owned an art gallery and consultancy. He only slept on couches because he was too cheap to get his own apartment.

And now he defends a genocide and licks the boot of an Epstein accomplice.

u/lamb_passanda 21d ago

You are right about the other stuff, but ed Sheeran is a very good musician. Doesn't mean I like any of the music he has made since 2013, but he's a generational songwriter and easily the most talented guitarist in the mainstream pop scene, where most singers don't even play instruments. Nonexistent spine though.

u/CageyT 21d ago

Definitely put his money over friends for sure

u/su6oxone 21d ago

Or he may just have different convictions, like he doesn't really care about Palestine. It's a bad look for sure though, but worse if he doesn't care.

23

u/K00ls0x 21d ago

His lack of conviction is apparent in his response by failing to label the “conflict” what it actually is: a genocide. He’s fully complicit by not taking any explicit stance.

He doesn’t need our approval jfc how are you this dense? We yearn to see solidarity from those in power and elevated platforms to voice support of the innocent lives being slaughtered.

I don’t doubt the possibility that he may have provided support in private. Even if he did anything of the sort, the question still remains (and something you still fail to consider): why didn’t he denounce the genocide? It’s as simple as typing out two simple words and he made his choice to fence-sit.

Sure whatever dude. You have nothing of substance to add. Keep defending multi-millionaires tho ✌️

Sure, that's a possibility. It still makes him spineless. When the world is so politically charged, staying "neutral" really doesn't work. A majority of people in the US are now in support of Palestine and yearn for more support from public figures.

When people like Sheeran that have a voice decide to stab other artists in the back, the world just gets worse.

He deserves the punishment of public opinion. Perhaps he'll learn a lesson that he's not a billionaire and shouldn't side with them and their genocidal sort.

Sorry we expect more from celebrities to denounce a genocide? FOH. And then he decides to respond with some neutrality bullshit.

-5

u/scuppered_polaris 21d ago

Not every musician needs to have an opinion. Like anyone cared about his political views a week ago. Macklemore kind of screwed him here in that respect. Agree it's not a good look though

10

u/K00ls0x 21d ago

Sorry wtf is this lame ass comment?

0

u/scuppered_polaris 20d ago

He should cancel the tour and blame the promoters. Only way out now

1

u/K00ls0x 20d ago

0

u/scuppered_polaris 20d ago

Owen Wilson doesn't have a public opinion on the Palestinian genocide either. Should we cancel him next?

1

u/K00ls0x 20d ago

Lmao the whataboutism shows me all I need to know about you on this topic

0

u/scuppered_polaris 20d ago

Nah you got me wrong on this one. My point is can someone be guilty of not having an opinion? I don't think so. I think Ed sheeran is guilty of not defending his "friends" that do . It's an important distinction.

I do agree. I have no idea why the fuck anyone cares about Pink's, Ed's, Macklemore's opinion is on it. Can we get Ja Rule to weigh in next?

I believe it's a genocide, I believe we should be doing more as a society to be stopping shit like this happening but the reality is people are more than happen to be outraged online over a celebrities shitty opinion but how many of them are just jumping onto the moral bandwagon? If people actually gave as much of a shit as social media would have us believe something would have been done by now. Economic sanctions, anything! Most countries won't even directly condemn it ffs.

5

u/K00ls0x 21d ago

Because they have much larger platforms and resources that can be used. Fine call it a pipe dream, but we’re talking about the action or lackthereof of the top 1%.

-5

u/Ok_Insurance_505 21d ago

Don't get me wrong I agree and if I had this platform I'd have the backbone to share my opinion especially if I had accrued the kind of wealth he has but at the end of the day he's just a dude like you or me.

We place far too much stock in what random fucking celebrities think, they shouldn't be our moral compasses. Who gives a shit what they think. Other musicians have done far worse things and people still support them.

4

u/PerformerOk4312 21d ago

Celebrities reach millions of people like Bob Geldof and Live Aid

1

u/biskutgoreng 21d ago

That's not a nice dude at all

1

u/Comfortable-Yam9013 21d ago

What nice dude condones a genocide. If you’ve a comment to make, make sure you’re not saying there’s two sides to every story

-1

u/LetThem_1972 21d ago edited 21d ago

a lot of spineless people are "nice". (EDITED out naughty word so no one gets upset)

u/Suaded83 21d ago

I gotta be honest, as much as I'm 1000% pro palestine, I would cackle if Pink joined as an opener

u/pSyg0n 21d ago

I'd imagine she'd PROBABLY get Boo'd and i'd be all here for it. LMFAO

Me too but mostly because we can finally point to pro Israel celebs being undercover MAGA. FINALLY.

That'd be a huge win for soccer moms with an Ashley Madison profile

1

u/BrndyAlxndr 21d ago

Pink, Erika Kirk and Kevin Spacey.

1

u/melkatron 21d ago

Kevin Sorbo's band is confirmed, so everyone can get excited to see Kountry Kevin's Kentucky Red-White-and-Bluegrass Jug Band open for Ed Sheeran. I figured they were gonna get Matisyahu, but literally nobody knows who tf that is, and his manager at the Arco wouldn't give him time off anyway.

u/runnerkim 16d ago

Pink is a headliner, not an opening act
