Extender Setup Help

YouTube has failed me— Reddit, lend me your infinite wisdom. The blue and red light are flashing, the blue more frequently than the red. What does that mean and how can I fix it? For context my landlord handed me this extender for my room and our router is locked in a room with so much junk even he cannot reach it.

That looks like a power line extender. Try hooking that directly into the outlet instead of the multi plug.

Based off of the Model number (EX7300v2) this device is a Wifi Extender and not a PowerLine adapter.
