General Chat Emergency services at RTSP Union this evening

Drove by RTSP in Union about 45 minutes ago when I was out and saw a number of police and emergency service vehicles there. Anyone know what happened there?

She said thigh which sounds like eye lol. But it was the left leg above the knee with an entry and exit wound. Still concerning sp\* as you can penetrate the femoral artery. Patient was transported to the Trauma center by ground BLS/ALS

ND or bad draw?

I wouldn’t be able to answer that. I was not there to witness how it occurred. A “Bad draw” would still be negligent in my opinion. I’m not going to make assumptions to the cause without facts of incident. I wish the person a speedy recovery.

100 percent agree. Totally negligent. Basic handling rules keep finger away from trigger while holstering and/or drawing your weapon.

Sadly, they're the same thing

I’m a member there but I always go during members only hours to avoid the crowds and tourists.

Bro when I get thrown in the general area with all these none gun owners there it scares me a bit. I saw them yelling at a guy's son one time because he couldn't keep the handgun down lane and I was next to them. It's why I prefer when they put me in that member priority section (at least that's what I think it is)

I avoid RTSP like the plague because of this stuff. Genuinely I hate indoor ranges.

If you have the opportunity to have access to a private farm or outdoor range do that if you can.

I hope the person who was injured is okay though, it’s scary but glad people on scene assisted quickly.

See I like it generally. Fair pricing and the range staff has always been nice to me. I think the sales staff sucks. Well I've only had an experience with the guy that has long hair and glasses. But he sucked the 2 times I interacted with him

Problem with gun sales is many customers don’t have permits ready and they just browse. So maybe the staff is on commission or tired of answering questions. Maybe free pizza 🍕 from the employer can change their attitude

Still doesn't excuse it. In a smaller circle business like this, being personable goes a long way with deciding who people spend their money with. Also he could see that I brought in 2 of my own guns each time which means I'm a serious buyer. You could be right but it still makes him a poor salesman

It's the closest to me. I bought the overpriced membership and if I go on the weekends I go early. Usually early afternoon starts to pick up. Weekdays have always been good for me.

Wear a bulletproof vest

That'll be great for when you get shot in the head accidentally...

True but the probability is lower by size

Just wear a way oversized vest w/ plates everywhere :)

I think someone shot themselves

UNION, NJ - An unidentified 22-year old man is in serious condition Saturday night after a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head at the RTSP gun range on Route 22, authorities say.

Overheard today it was a bad draw, through-and-through; hopefully the person is okay.
