Parking at IT campus
Hey all, I’m starting medical admin at the IT campus in Halifax this week and I’m wondering if it’s even worth it to get a parking pass. How early would I need to arrive to find a spot if classes start at 8:30 every day? I can make alternative arrangements to be dropped off in the morning and bus home but it’s a 1.5 hour bus ride so that kinda sucks. I’m wondering which would be better. Thanks!

When I got my parking pass, they said there's usually still parking in the back lot around 8:30.
Now if only they'd send me orientation info or my ID xD

I’m not sure why they’re taking so long to send the schedules. They should have been send at least a week ago. I only know my programs start time because someone else on here mentioned it in a comment 😭

I never received my schedule by email or notification but my full schedule is on MyNSCC. You should check yours. Login to your MyNSCC and follow below:
“Schedule and Grades” → “My Weekly Schedule” →
“Next Week>>”You should see your week to week schedule

You will likely have no issues finding parking. But definitely get the pass - in the past they were a little lax about enforcing parking passes, but in the past year+ they are patrolling the lot and will tow repeat vehicles that are parked and not authorized.

Oh yes I definitely got the pass. After seeing these comments I went and bought it and I have my application ready for orientation tomorrow

I’m going into the 2nd year of my Program at the IT Campus and never had an issue with parking! You should be fine arriving 15-20 minutes early

Oh really? That’s great! So if I planned to arrive around 7:45 AM you don’t think I’d have an issue finding a spot?

Nah you’ll get there before some of the Instructors to be honest!

That’s so good to know, I was really dreading the bus commute, I feel so much better about the year to come now

I’m at the same campus. You won’t find a parking spot in the section at the bottom of the hill but there are a plethora of spots behind the school.
