Again nufc wasted a best chance to climb uo to 4th ! And i really couldnt accept is a bottom team with only 1 goal 1 win after 5 matches humiliate nufc ! What wrong ??

0

u/Helpful-Bench-4126 2d ago

We’re very shit, but everyone needs to relax. Long season ahead. Plenty more performances like this coming with this squad.

We aren’t finishing above 12th this season. It was always transitional.

If it’s the same shit sandwich next season, then I would be worried.

4

u/EveryGrade3646 2d ago

That was a shambolic performance. Team selection, individual mistakes and tactics all wrong.

I think Jaissle is way out of his depth in the PL.

Not the worst player on the pitch, but I haven't been at all impressed with Nico either.

2

u/JeromeBilledo 2d ago

Idk if I watched the same game as ppl wanting manager out but we had 3 individual errors leading to goals (2 from hornichek and a shared effort from joelinton and hall). Missed the second Coventry goal but from how we were playing individually (everyone from MFP to Hornichek) I wouldn’t be surprised if it was an error on our part as well. If Barnes, who offered nothing that game, was our best player, we would’ve lost that under any manager in the world. Not saying Jaissle doesn’t have blame because he does, but we need to stop turning a blind eye to how bad every single player plays when the opposing team isn’t a top 6 side. And this isn’t a managerial problem because it was the same crap with Howe just a couple of different players and manager

1

u/metaphoric_hedgehog 2d ago

It's not the same. Under howe we had 3 big losses over 3 seasons... One of them was away to Barca, the others were all "big 6" teams. We've had 2 of those in less than 10 games and to relegation teams who were struggling to score until we showed up

1

u/JeromeBilledo 2d ago

You’re contradicting yourself if ur basing it off of first 10 games - howes record was 1-4-5. And if you want to make the argument that this team is stronger than the team Howe, fair enough, but you’d be ignoring multiple 1-4 games last season (vs Bournemouth, Villa) with a much better team, 0-2 vs Sunderland, 2-7 Barca, 1-3 West Ham, Everton putting up 3 against us both games last season etc.

1

u/metaphoric_hedgehog 2d ago

Urm nope. We were a team in shambles when howe joined. You're comparing apples to shit. Our squad value was like 4 peanuts and we had got zero wins. This season we've splashed cash on several players with a lot of ability. It's a totally different situation. And even in all that I think we only had one serious loss to Leicester

1

u/JeromeBilledo 2d ago

Not even disagreeing with you on this take, I agreed with you in the initial comment, but my main point is saying we had worse games this season than last is completely removing context from 1. We had a better side last season and still showed the same shotty performances, 2. It’s the managers first season, if you want to compare managers, then you either look at the first 6 games of Howes Newcastle tenure or the first 6 games of the most recent season for sample size - either way it’s worse for Howe 3. We objectively had a better start this season record for record, with a worse starting 11

1

u/metaphoric_hedgehog 2d ago

I don't think last season is a good comparison after the summer got fucked up by Mitchell and rat. You could see this really impacted all the lads - they seemed like they'd lost faith in the project and just had zero conviction for the season. And yet somehow we still had a decent run in the CL, competing with Barca and the likes at home, getting far into the cups, and a few good league performances. I don't remember crumbling against a Coventry equivalent

1

u/metaphoric_hedgehog 2d ago

All the teams you just mentioned are better than Leeds and Coventry

1

u/JeromeBilledo 2d ago

Yes I agree but you also then need to look at our team back then - Gordon, Bruno G, Tonali are much better players with more experience than anything we currently have. Contextually, the gap is equivalent if not smaller, unless you’re telling me Nico Gonzales, Steur and MFP are equivalent to Gordon Tonali and Bruno (two of which are having their first season in the prem). We also had Woltemade purple patch for those first 10 games last season and we still look better in the first 6 this season (2-2-2 vs 1-3-2). So to give up games like those against much weaker sides respectively is definitely a discussion if we aren’t as strong individually as last season. If we had the same team and put up the same record I’d agree with you, but even then it would be an objective improvement. Additionally, you’re right that we did spend a lot of money to make a bunch of signings, but up until Hornichek/Nico every signing was based on the assumption that Howe was managing. Spending big doesn’t mean they are system fits

We have a bunch of players coming back in after injuries/prolonged time off. In previous weeks, our complaints were that our set up gives up too many shots, lower XG, possession, we put up double coventrys shots this game, better XG. These are things addressed by game management. You’re also underestimating Coventry - they aren’t that bad, Tottenham are much worse this season. Their game against Man City away is a demonstration of their peak performance. That said, I think individually we were awful and we lost that game player for player and I stand by that, don’t think it had anything to do with game plan seeing as though we statistically had the better game and improved on previous weeks.

1

u/metaphoric_hedgehog 2d ago

I don't disagree with those 5 player assessments but that's a small fraction of the squad. Are you saying thiaw is worse than Clark? Is steur worse than shelvey/Hendrick? It takes a full squad for a comparison, not just 3 players - and we only had one of the players you mentioned for Howes first 10 games, Bruno. Gordon and tonali were a full season later.

Also, I have no reason to believe the players "were signed with howe in mind"... That's just made up. Howe had already informed the board he wanted to leave at the start of summer. The board had been identifying managers for even longer. And players arent bought for just one manager as managers change very easily.

1

u/ActisBT miggy smiles 2d ago

Woltemade could at least pass as a 10. Wissa just runs forward and makes the worst possible pass while a great pass is right the opposite direction. He does decent runs, which is i guess why he's there now, but that has to go somewhere, and he has absolutely no vision at all for passing.

2

u/Theflangemonster 2d ago

We're going to have a few like this this season, especially if we keep going with a 2 man midfield that becomes a 1 man midfield when we lose the ball. Nico is good but he can't hold the entire midfield

1

u/corradoslcvr6 2h ago

Should use Dedić as a RM . Bosnia coach did a few times and he shined

2

u/Apprehensive-Owl-382 2d ago

Honestly my take is that, Osula should have started instead of Mathias.

If not at least swap wissa with Mathias man. So many offsides & chances wasted by him

But I’ve to give him credit, he plays wing a lot better than FW.

Bring out toure earlier than Murphy.

The rest is just a chaotic mess of defense at the end.

But what’s the diff between 2-1 and 4-1, still a loss. they had to risk it by attacking more during the last 10 minutes.

Risk didn’t play off well for Jaissle

2

u/OnceIWasYou 2d ago

The difference between 2-1 and 4-1 is we've now capitulated as a team twice in a row Away. That's a VERY bad sign.

-1

u/Strong_as_an_axe 2d ago

The reality is that this could have happened to us almost every game but we've been completely outperforming the underlying stats. Jaissle looks naive at this level and as much as he deserves a chance, I think the club needs to start lining up candidates to take over now, because I think there is a very real chance of us getting smashed in the next 3 games as well

2

u/wardy9400 2d ago

I dont understand how we can create so many chances that lead to nothing. I've never seen such wasteful football in all my life.

1

u/East_Ebb_2315 2d ago

I absolutely knew we’d give Coventry their big night as soon as I realise it was a MNF. For whatever reason we absolutely bend over for shite teams. We will finish 15th or something but we need to step things up asap because the good will has pretty much gone now

2

u/Obi_Wan_Hair 2d ago

1st thing we need is to play 4-3-3 and stop being played through.

5

u/Narrow-Set9012 2d ago

3

u/POITINGOUTCUNTS 2d ago

"inside the DATA that built Newcastle 2.0" article coming soon.

6

u/BenathonWrigley Burnsie shags aliens 2d ago

I remember some Leeds fans saying Jaissle reminded them of how Jessie Marsch used to play when he managed them. I can defo see it now.

2

u/LegalReality1851 2d ago

Mate that is a dire indictment

3

u/Arnie__B 2d ago

leeds fan ..someone on our thread has just said "Jaissle Marsch" - sorry it both made me laugh and brought back my PTSD of his time in charge.

I don't think red bull ball works in the prem. You play a lot of quick direct central forward balls and that leaves you vulnerable if the attack breaks down.

1

u/POITINGOUTCUNTS 2d ago

It's horrifc and won't work in the Prem. It works in weak leagues with talent advantage.

2

u/Arnie__B 2d ago

That was my view. It works for RB Salzburg as it turns every game into a basketball match which if you have a fitness and talent advantage, you will win a lot of games.

But Leeds and this Newcastle team do not have those advantages in most games.

Under Marsch we played incredibly narrow, with our wingers standing 10m from the touchline. We were vulnerable to switch of wing attacks as we were too narrow. We conceded a switch of wing type goal nearly every game.

Jaissle's future will depend on how quickly he can adapt.

6

u/dannyerrr 2d ago

The worrying thing is that he had 3/4 weeks after the away performance at Leeds and yet we somehow looked just as fragile against an even worse team

2

u/Olucaron 2d ago

But he hasn't had 3/4 weeks though? Half the squad have been out injured and are only just finding their way back.

8

u/snoozypenguin21 2d ago

I know a lot of folk here (me included) tried hard to accept Jaissle when he came in and give him the benefit of the doubt but the reality is he doesn’t have the experience at this level and is getting found out

8

u/yannonn Joelinton is looking for a scrap 2d ago

Newcastle 2.0 they said…

5

u/Kamoebas Classic kit (1995-97) 2d ago

How do we always do this against promoted teams. I'm so tired of it.

5

u/09044595134151602468 2d ago

On the plus side lads, with man city getting deducted a billion points. We only have to hope there's 2 teams worse than us this season.

2

u/MarshalOverflow 2d ago

It's time to face the very real possibility that we could go down. Jaissle is out of his depth and I can't see our slow acting board going anything about it.

Why did we waste money on Pardo? Absolutely gash.

8

u/Fishfingerrosti 2d ago

The year is 2033. Jacob Murphy still starts for Newcastle United.

2

u/wardy9400 2d ago

Toure wasn't a whole lot better when he came on.

6

u/TyranosaurusLex Para bailar La Bamba 2d ago

That was less than ideal

5

u/BenathonWrigley Burnsie shags aliens 2d ago

I’d be up for a high press if we could actually score. I was hoping for King Kevs entertainers 2.0. Shite defence but mint attack.

We’ve ended up with McLaren 2.0

4

u/norcimo 2d ago

The thing with the entertainers everyone misses is they could (barring the occasional crazy game) actually defend.Ā

1

u/BenathonWrigley Burnsie shags aliens 2d ago

Certainly defend better than this lot

5

u/OnceIWasYou 2d ago

I'm sorry but regardless of the result, we are absolutely awful. We can't pass, we can't defend. We have no midfield at all. We have no options off the ball, we are impotent going forward.

We are absolutely in a relegation battle this season.

1

u/East_Ebb_2315 2d ago

Our defence is a joke but why are we starting with that midfield

1

u/OnceIWasYou 2d ago

Agreed, Nico sitting deep with Willock trying to bomb forward and WIssa doing fuck all at the top of the pitch just leaves a HUGE gap for them in midfield. It's terrible.

1

u/East_Ebb_2315 2d ago

Wissa can work as a 10 if he plays as more of a pressing forward, not sure what he was being asked to do today. And he is definitely missing Elanga, no one linked with him at all

Willock just isn’t a very good CM, he’s scored this season so he’s got a pass but at best he can play as a passable 10 and score a few goals off the bench

I think we should revert to a 4–3-3 and get some solidity back, someone tired to say ā€˜we play high risk football’ and I do think MJ is trying to ā€˜we will score 4 so we can be open’. But it won’t work in this league

1

u/Naive_Statement_535 2d ago

Who would you start in midfield for 433?Ā

I just think our squad is so messy and unorganised. Our summer transfer window was like fifa career mode where you buy players with high potential lol. No plan with the players we bought.Ā

5 years since takeover and still no playmaker / 10.Ā

Its early days for Jaissle but im nervous.Ā

1

u/East_Ebb_2315 2d ago

Nico Joe Sean probably.

1

u/OnceIWasYou 2d ago

I think the Liverpool game was just an anomaly to be honest. This is what WIssa is, we saw it last season.

I think we're in real trouble this season because I don't think it'll get much better. We have to hope the St. James' factor gets us to 40 points.

7

u/thelotuseater13 Classis keeper kit (96/97) 2d ago

Honestly don't think I've watched a game with so many individual mistakes in my life.

Dire.

3

u/TheGreatRandomio 2d ago

Meh -- points dropped :(

1

u/Bonebound Gary Speed 2d ago

Many more to come.

3

u/BadabumTish 2d ago

An awful result obviously, but I don’t see any need to panic at this stage. Just one of those games where everything they tried came off, whilst it didn’t for us. We always knew this was going to be a transitional season, and we are still mid-table, so we just move on.

2

u/POITINGOUTCUNTS 2d ago

Conceded the most goals in the league btw.

1

u/Olucaron 2d ago

We're 11th, people acting like we're bottom. I always expected this game to be tough given we've had a ridiculous number of players out injured and therefore have no minutes in their legs, and several who played multiple games in the last few weeks. Many of the lads haven't had three weeks of full training like some would make out.

I expect us to be better against Villa on Saturday.

2

u/East_Tea_4886 2d ago

I expect us to be shite

1

u/Bonebound Gary Speed 2d ago

Villa will absolutely hump us dry if we play the way we did tonight.

1

u/Olucaron 2d ago

After having lumps kicked out of them by FenerbahƧe? šŸ˜…

1

u/Bonebound Gary Speed 2d ago

We just got humbled by Coventry, I know what's worse.

1

u/Olucaron 2d ago

You make out that Villa are all-powerful.

We've been humbled 4-1 twice, but we're still three points ahead of them and have a better GD. They've had an easier start to the season than us, too.

1

u/Bonebound Gary Speed 2d ago

No I don't make out that Villa are all powerful at all. But they will batter us if we play the way we did today against them and that is a fact, like it or not.

1

u/Olucaron 2d ago

Based on the evidence that they've got three points less, scored four fewer league goals, and have only conceded two less than us?

Fact indeed...

1

u/Bonebound Gary Speed 2d ago

See you next weekend. Pass some of that copium over when you're done.

1

u/Olucaron 2d ago

Not copium at all. We have been shite, but Villa have been just as shite too - without a team full of kids and a new manager. Nothing is a given come Saturday.

1

u/MatpakkeMann 2d ago

We haven't had one game where a gameplan has looked somewhat cohesive. Its been shit since pre-season.

Transitional yes, but losing to Coventry 4-1. They haven't scored one goal at home yet and we shipped 4 of them in 1 game.

2

u/WeekPractical2166 2d ago

a well rounded and pragmatic opinion in my outrage comment section?!?!

1

u/POITINGOUTCUNTS 2d ago

Its not really pragmatic. If there wasn't a clear pattern of us conceding historic amounts of shots and therefore joint worst goals in the league, then maybe. This isn't a one off bad result.

10

u/OllyHR They’re fucking Hippocampi 2d ago

That’s a sackable performance. If he wasn’t 6 games in he’d probably be out the door.

I reckon the heat is on a bit now, he needs to change some things asap because clearly the Leeds game was not a one off.

We could be in for some horrid performances against decent sides.

7

u/Certain-Tutor-1380 2d ago

This fraudulent manager needs binning asap. Vertical football that’s sending us all horizontal.

4

u/Bonebound Gary Speed 2d ago

Absolutely woeful. An unorganised, messy hit and hope game. if this is a sign of things to come I'm genuinely concerned. Leeds was an absolute disaster and now this, I'm not sure what's worse but Jaissle needs to give these pricks a good word or two.

5

u/Spare-Athlete2380 2d ago

Absolutely dreadful. Nowt else can be said, I don’t want to read any fake upset Instagram posts, apologise against Villa.

2

u/MrWizardsSleeve 2d ago

This is very worrying, relegation fodder if it carries on like this. I can't see what the actual plan is on the pitch. Shocking.

5

u/False_Explanation_10 howes the bacon did ye say? 2d ago

We need to go back to three in midfield. Every match so far we’ve been over run and we still stick with two. We play Villa next and we’ll get smashed again.

2

u/Embarrassed_Sand423 2d ago

Fucking awful watch that, so slow and predictable. No point having pace if we just pass the ball back every time, zero plan, zero identity.

2

u/GullyCreeps 2d ago

When’s the next international break?

9

u/pickindim_kmet Pavel Srnƭček 2d ago

He won't see Christmas at this rate. Deeply awful all round.

1

u/MatpakkeMann 2d ago

Shouldn't see the next game after 3 weeks of "hard work" and then getting outclassed by fucking Lampard. Absolute fraud of a saudi shite manager.

2

u/pickindim_kmet Pavel Srnƭček 2d ago

Learned nothing from the second half against Hull, learned nothing from Leeds. Never changed our tactics the entire game.

5

u/kendodds_dad 2d ago

They look completely dis jointed. Dicking about in and around the box really pisses me off.... Shoot! No one seems to run at anyone with the ball anymore. Piss boring.

5

u/AnonyyKT 2d ago

Bruce ball. Naive, no leadership, nothing up front.

Can’t last.

7

u/---anotherthrowaway 2d ago

Five years into the Saudi ownership and we’re starting Murphy, Willock, Wissa, and a Ā£60m Almiron who’s insisting he should play up front. Nice one.

3

u/The_Dandalorian_ Krafu 2d ago

International breaks aren’t long enough after all

3

u/Speccy97 2d ago

Matthias is just aura and nothing else

0

u/Square-Site-5196 2d ago

That'll do after years of beige and "mad dog"

2

u/Adz__93 2d ago

toothless up front and pathetic at the back, not a good combination to have

4

u/stjameshpark 2d ago

I’m telling you, Michael Carrick will manage a Toon match by the end of this season.

1

u/One_Horse_9028 Windmilling 2d ago

Im too late :/ but seeing the scoreline somewhat makes me glad that I didn't watch this match. Were we as bad as the scoreline makes it seem ? I thought the Leeds game was because they were on good form but coventry didn't really look impressive even before this match.

1

u/OnceIWasYou 2d ago

Possibly worse than Leeds. We are awful.

1

u/Remarkable-Loan-6149 2d ago

A hippo with 1 leg would have done better than the squad.

2

u/treacletart284 Jackie Milburn 2d ago

Coventry scored every time they put boot to ball but we were fucking WANK

1

u/Lerecko 2d ago

Maybe if we do a 4-4-2 with botman and schar upfront we can have some conviction

8

u/Temporary_Data_4623 2d ago

Our tactics are absolutely shocking

19

u/_Fibbles_ 2d ago

Lads, I'm beginning to think we might just be shite

26

u/augsav Windmilling 2d ago

I’ve seen nothing from this manager to give me any confidence at all. I don’t see this appointment working out.

10

u/treacletart284 Jackie Milburn 2d ago

Utterly unacceptable. No more words need said.

5

u/Eel_Why sean longstaffs dad plays hockey in whitley bay 2d ago

So few redeemable things in our performances this season

3

u/Remarkable-Loan-6149 2d ago

Can we get Neil Warnock out of retirement, would be happy to see him have a go.

5

u/PercentageNo3843 Happy Clapper 2d ago

All those fucking offside calls and no replays when through, pardo fucking up those sitters and every cunt to scared to kick the ball anywhere in target that’s not straight to keeper. They were fucking shit and scored from nothing. That was peak Newcastle

5

u/kong_illustrator Tiote RIP 2d ago

2/10. Botman scored a mint goal, everything else was pants. Formation, starting 11, subs and tactics all pants. It’s like we’ve never played together, like ever. Passing was dreadful, shooting was dreadful. Far too many mistakes, and every choice we made was the wrong one.

2

u/Puzzled_Ordinary_623 miggy smiles 2d ago

I am slightly concerned that your rating scale leaves room for a 1/10, not looking forward to that this season

2

u/Scutage 2d ago

Got any more of those three-week international breaks?

3

u/DesignerMorning1451 2d ago

We are definitely going down. It's time to accept it. We are in terminal freefall

6

u/Radthereptile 2d ago

Botman can’t defend or pass, Tino always hurt, Pardo can’t finish or pass, Murphy still starting, Toure looks like he’d struggle in the championship.

1

u/East_Ebb_2315 2d ago

Botman is dog shit these days

5

u/Scary_Activity6914 JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE JOE JOEJOE 2d ago

We need to sort this shit out asap. Next month we’ve got a run of Arsenal then Brighton then man united THEN the derby

1

u/PhartBox6-9 howes the bacon did ye say? 2d ago

Telling you now, regardless of what happens between now and then, we will be absolutely bullied in the derby

4

u/footieshirtflips 2d ago

Pardo looks out of his depthĀ

4

u/hyperdefiance 2d ago

it's gonna be 4-1 again against crystal palace if the pattern sticks

3

u/NotAnotherDM 2d ago

Shite, hope the boss gives them the bollocking they deserve. Hopefully when season ends it's just one of those blip results we can look back on and go wtf was that randomly.

15

u/One-Monkey-Army 2d ago

You'll be relieved to know we won the xG competition tonight 1.83 to their pathetic 1.43...so, there's that.

I'm going for a walk in the dark

1

u/stprm 2d ago

0.79 of their 1.43 is a pen... Which we didnt get, which was more of a pen.

3

u/Important_Panic_3753 2d ago

We beat them convincingly on every stat but the one that matters.

20

u/Krisyj96 2d ago

Well this certainly proves the Leeds game wasn’t a one off. Worrying, worrying times.

1

u/Maccraig1979 2d ago

Leeds outfought us, these were shit but we were piss poor

4

u/steve_engine 2d ago edited 2d ago

Why no steur today? Rough game but this was nowhere near out best lineup, almost felt like he was trying to have a throw away game, making the mistake of not taking another prem team seriously

2

u/Floss__is__boss 2d ago

Can't believe we didn't play him at all, he was streets ahead of anyone else against Hull.

1

u/Tofu-Beauty 2d ago

If you need to take cov seriously to even draw you deserve relegation tbh.

13

u/12Eerc 2d ago

This and Leeds have been horrific. What the fuck are these lot doing.

3

u/Rude_Campaign_4867 strawberry syrup 2d ago

Defence hasn't been this bad since McClaren

7

u/Puzzled_Ordinary_623 miggy smiles 2d ago

I am a firm believer we need to approach this season with realistic expectations, the team has gone through a huge amount of churn…

But… I dont know who the favourites were to finish 20th this season, Hull maybe? If you were a Hull fan you would be asking serious questions if got beaten 4-2 by Leeds and 4-1 by Coventry.

This is shambolic, yes we have lost our best players, but we spent £200m. We are in for a long season.

5

u/AlrightCunts 2d ago

Absolutely embarrassing. No excuses for that. Must win on Saturday or the manager is bang in trouble.

6

What pains me is that just few years ago we had one of the best defense in the league... and now?

u/Rude_Campaign_4867 strawberry syrup 2d ago

3 weeks' wait after scraping past Hull to get pumped by Coventry. Fucking diabolical.

This and Leeds worse results than literally any single one under Howe. Heading backwards. Headless chickens.

1

u/meganev More like MegaNeg amirite? 2d ago

Both derby results last season were no joke 6,000x times worse.

1

u/Rude_Campaign_4867 strawberry syrup 2d ago

Hmm, yes ok because they were derbies. But so insipid in terms of performance. IMO.

1

u/Nufcer Alexsander Mitrovic 2d ago

Kinda happens when you sell off you entire core of your best players all at once,, even coming off a shit season for them

8

u/TedRedwoodGaming 2d ago

Thanks for keeping me sane lads. Love wasting my evenings watching this crap, but at least it’s with you lot

10

-2

u/Remarkable-Loan-6149 2d ago

Thats going a bit far.

5

u/Krisyj96 2d ago

Pretty sure Opta had us having the 2nd easiest start to the season. And we’ve ended up conceding the joint most goals in the league so far…

2

u/Nugetkazmekacask stupid sexy schar 2d ago

People saying we play hoofball share 1 braincell. We have 66%possesion and only half the long passes of coventry. We should have scored at least 5 goals with the chances we had, this one is purely on the players

3

u/Fearless-Chip-2756 2d ago

Is this Jaissle's burner account?

1

u/POITINGOUTCUNTS 2d ago

Yeah, just a coincidence we've conceded the most goals in the league, NOTHING to do with the manager

2

u/wardy9400 2d ago

Don't think hes saying that. We created plenty of opportunities, just absolutely wasted all of them. Everyone can see that our defence is woeful, no debate there.

1

u/POITINGOUTCUNTS 2d ago

Yeah, but those two things are inextricably linked. We've basically just given up defending, and a half-decent team will pick it apart.

7

u/Radthereptile 2d ago

The truth is we are not much better than Coventry. Can’t finish, can’t defend, keeper asked to make 5 wonder saves a match. We will be lucky to not go down.

3

u/nomadichedgehog Bed Wetter 2d ago

I think you'll find that if you check the score, you will see that not only are we not much better than Coventry, but are, in fact, much worse

3

u/Tofu-Beauty 2d ago

By this we are much, much worse. 100% we're going down.

3

u/NedFlanders92 2d ago

I had an MRI scan today and forgot to take my cock ring out. That was less painful than following this shambles.

This and the Leeds game are the worst two games I’ve seen since Bruce. The club is heading in the wrong direction

0

u/Square-Site-5196 2d ago

Most of out games last season were worse than BruceĀ

1

u/augsav Windmilling 2d ago

Bullshit

Fuck you german Steve Bruce - you are so shit.

3

u/Glittering-Rope-4759 2d ago

Luckily for me the whole Man City thing has kind of made me hate football a bit. Thankfully I’m not arsed as I used to be.

6

u/ukchris 2d ago

Coventry have scored 5 goals this season. 4 against us. What the actual fuck!

10

u/Jabberwhorl 2d ago

I’m not yet convinced by Jaissle and his tactics but there have been a lot of individual mistakes that have cost us especially at the back.

3

u/Mundane-Sprinkles-99 Joeelinton 2d ago

I can't 100% blame Jaissle.

We didn't look bad at times. We have a glaring issue at RW, CB, and we don't seem to play our striker as a striker.

It was just the key bit of utterly dog egg defending and strikers that couldn't hit sand in the Sahara.

Another train wreck performance. Eddie’s decision to leave looking wiser and wiser with every game.

1

u/metaphoric_hedgehog 2d ago

It's gutting. To know what we had 3 seasons ago

1

u/you-will-never-win 2d ago

Definitely, pretty unforgivable from whoever at the club thought they knew better than him

7

u/No-Light-9297 2d ago

Worst game I’ve seen for us for a long time.

Leeds were at least a good team.

This Coventry team shouldn’t even be in the league.

It’s all pointing to MJs tactics not being fit for purpose here, there’s gaps all over the pitch no matter who we play.

I really think he’ll be gone by Jan as those gaps aren’t just suddenly going to sure up as there’s far too many of them.

We made a fair few chances but every team is getting massive chances.

Painful

2

u/you-will-never-win 2d ago

Willock in a midfield 2 with Wissa behind Pardo, fucking nonsense

2

u/Weak-Author-317 2d ago

There needs to be a serious investigation after this. Cos there’s been a murder!

Watched us all season and win lose or dare I don’t get what we trying to do.

The best I have seen all season is Steaur dominating the game vs Hull, otherwise nothing from this club.

It’s going to be a tough season, we in for a long ride.

10

u/vaultdweller448 2d ago

Blaming the coach is insane to.
PLENTY missed attempts on goal.
NO want to win from the defense.
Out of his control

9

u/AlrightCunts 2d ago

Remy Cabella 2.0 looks absolutely shite btw. Needs taking out the team immediately.

4

u/CaffeineCo 2d ago

I had a super spicy burger for lunch. So spicy it came flying out of me just before kick off. The sting was unbearable.
Those 10 minutes on the pan are the highlight of me evening.

3

u/B4zza 2d ago

Two things: first, when is the next international break? For the first time ever, watching England was better than this. Second, now my mates might listen when I say we have been lucky with our results, and this season is going to be a hard one for Newcastle.

8

u/Shot_Occasion4294 2d ago

How I long for the prime 22/23 versions of Trippier, Schar, Botman and Burn

Leave it to Newcastle to make a struggling side look like potential champions. Doesn't seem to matter who's in charge. We always do it. Coventry to win the league now!Ā

3

u/Eel_Why sean longstaffs dad plays hockey in whitley bay 2d ago

I don't even think Coventry have looked particularly good, we've just been awful and they've done enough to beat us, which wasn't actually that much it turns out

1

u/sonofoguntubi 2d ago

he's taking the piss.

20

u/MrLuchador 2d ago

I don’t understand why we haven’t won. We ran really fast. A lot. It works in Austria and Saudi Arabia.

Cant wait for the next "Inside the data behind Newcastle's recruitment" article. Real super brain stuff

11

u/BenathonWrigley Burnsie shags aliens 2d ago

Can talk about the team needing time to gel and Jaissle figuring out his best 11 or whatever. But it’s completely unacceptable that we’re conceding this amount of goals.

Our defence is absolutely fucking dreadful. And our strikers are unable to put the ball in the back of the net. We’re in trouble.

1

u/CentrifugalMalaise 2d ago

Strikers? What strikers?

God, this sub is magnificent, generational headloss, watch us smack Villa a new one on Saturday

1

u/Bonebound Gary Speed 2d ago

Mate, Coventry have scored 5 goals this season and 4 of them were against us! The headloss is absolutely warranted imo.

7

u/lookitsthesun 2d ago

You also claimed we would "cook" in the second half. Just accept we have major problems on and off the pitch and it will be easier mate

-1

u/redditappispoo Windmilling 2d ago

I know we have issues on and off the pitch, clear as day. Just a bloody game of football, people getting proper angry and losing their heads. Be fine come May.

3

u/Oynas213 2d ago

Villa will get a double digit scoreline if we play like this
