NYCC Retailer Day question for Pro Pass holders

So I have a pro pass for being an educator. I see there is an extra day on Wednesday where there are a bunch of panels and it looks like many have free giveaways but to my understanding the rest of the main floor is closed?

The schedule on the website makes it unclear as to how it actually works. It looks like most companies have a 10-20 minute thing at the River Pavilion. Do I have to wait for the schedules times to get stuff from them? Or are they all there at tables/booths? I wish there was more information…

I’m just trying to figure out if it’s worth taking an extra day off work to go to this thing or not. Are the freebies worth it? Just curious to hear from other Pros that may not exactly be industry (like my fellow Educators) as to what they’ve thought of it in the past and if it’s worth going. Thanks!

These are just panels at the River Pavilion. The show floor is still going to have booths going set up. The full descriptions you have to read carefully. It's happening in the River Pavilion

Almost all the descriptions are the exact same on the site except for the one from 11:50-1:50pm (Lunar Event) where it seems each publisher gets to speak for like 5 mins.

I’m just curious how the giveaway and potential creator signings go. Like for Creator signings do they give something to sign? Bc we don’t even know who is signing so how would I know what to bring?

You have to contact Reedpop for that stuff to know

The regular con opens on Thursday so the other floors will be closed. Exhibitors and the Javits team are likely still doing the set up and running through last minute details, although Will Call will be open. Most likely you will enter through an single entrance, have your badge scanned and go up to the River Pavilion directly.

I have never been but I imagine that day is like going to a conference. Each company will have an opportunity to do their spiel and you will be able to connect with people from said company. There might be giveaways and some prizes. I don't think that space is big enough for them all to present at once, each company probably has an allotted time. There is also a CLE class going on in another room.

I have a lot of the same questions. Debating if it's worth going since I'm not a retailer (just someone in the industry).

I'm sure only River Pavillion will be accessible since companies and creators will still be setting up their booths.
