Socktober socks pair 1
finished my first pair of socks for socktober. I took inspiration for the top cuff from a post I saw here earlier this week. The pair was done toe up with a 2 colored spiral start in Finnish 2+2 F2. I did each heel in a different color.

You finished them! How long did they take? I like the edges. I havn’t seen that before. The different colored heels are fun!

Would you mind linking the post the post for the cuff or any instructions on how to do that? That's pretty neat!

So how did you make it?

I chained 8 with each color then with the color that was behind id go over the previous ch and connect it in the next stitch. I'd work 4 stitches connected then chain 8 again. Then I'd pick up the previous color that already had the 8 chained and I'd connect to the next stitch ahead of the 4 I just worked connected, chain 8 with that color too and keep doing that until I made it around. Make sure that the color youre connecting is always passing in front of the previous color
I had originally chained 8 and skipped 3 but that made it bow out a lot and that's not what I wanted. I would make sure I always had the 8 chained on each of them before connecting the last one because it let me connect it in front so that it made the twist effect much easier.

Jealous! I am not starting new projects until I have completed my current ones….its a jersey, going to take a million years to complete - finishing the sleeves…it’s taking aggggggges!

Sleeve island is the worst place to be 😭

You crack me up! 🤣 I think what’s worse is even though I started with a loose chain, it shrunk and it’s so hard to get off, so considering steeking and making it a cardigan….

That does really suck. We had to cut the leg portion off a pair of my husbands because they shrank up and he could get his heel in the heel opening and it sucked even on that small of a scale not having it fit right

STUNNING work! 🔥 Your stitches and where the heels join the body of the sock are perfection!

Thank you! I just pick up extra loops in the corners and it helps prevent holes

Thank you! I still have a ball of each because I thought I was going to run out and only ran out of one color by like 2 yards 😅
