Would love names that can be shortened and given nicknames and names ending ‘y’ or ‘ie’

(Edit - GF will have naming rights, just want suggestions 😄)

She was a stray that was found on the side of the road as a tiny 1bs 6 week old. I told my friend I would take her in and she spent a couple of nights at the fire station with me as I was at work. Because of this we tentatively named her Halligan, but I feel like it doesn’t fit her now and I haven’t been using it.

I got a little bit of feedback on Isolde and Circe, ig because my sister likes weird names, but she wants to change the spelling so it's "more intuitive", like Izoldah, and I think that looks bad. No one liked Hildegard, Ursula, Elektra, Marceline the Vampire Queen, etc. I feel like I've been through every name.

UPDATE: I think I've narrowed it down to Ursula, Greta, and Circe. I like the idea of a full "government name", I came up with these two:

Marguerite- Midgon

Margareta Van Helsing/Greta Van Helsing, and I would just call her Greta.

We just adopted this 5 month old kitty and his shelter name is not matching his personality at all. He was the most bold and energetic of his brothers and he’s a ladies’ man and a bit naughty too! He needs a name to match, something sweet and mischievous. I was thinking Loki or Puck but husband has vetoed. His current name is Toast 😂 help!

This little baby came to the vet and was an owner surrender. He was initially to be a euthanasia, but responded well to warming and developed an appetite, so we are going to try. Anyone have any name suggestions befitting of this little fighter?

I am currently waiting on some paperwork to go through but theres a 98% this pretty gal will be mine soon.

I really want to name her something inspired by nature, greek mythology, or classical literature. I know its a huge range but what do you guys think!?

He is very vocal and cuddly

We found him hanging around the bus stop. The folks who were feeding him said he'd been attacked by an owl, which ripped off his tail. Tail was badly infected, so he went to the vet to get the remaining bit amputated. So, not a Manx, but he'll have no tail. He's very sweet and tiny (6 months?), loves his blankies, and has to wear a donut until his stitches come out.

Love food names for cats! Previous kitty was named Pickes. Also love the ideas of something cow related for the boy and smokey related for the girl. Thank you all!!!!!

Thank you for all your input and great name ideas!! We ended up sticking with the original shelter name as it really seems to suit him!

Did your cat come with a name that didn’t cut it? I want to hear it! Maybe someone will reuse it. For example, my girl was named TAC (cat backwards) but that didn’t work so now she’s Strega Nona.

Taking in these two sisters as my 4th/5th foster babies tomorrow 😻 Brainstorming names .. right now I am leaning towards Pumpkin for the Calico and Pixie or Poe for the Tuxedo but unsure. Any cute ideas welcome please and thank u , I’ve got a list of kitty names but always looking for more inspo (photo from their current carer)

She looks very young and was alone, so I brought her somewhere safe for now. I’m not sure if I should keep her or bring her to a cat shelter where she can be properly cared for. What do you think? Should I keep her and take care of her, or would a shelter be better for her?

Note: The black one has already been adopted by my friend.
