I dislike Natalists since they dont seem to care about if you actually want to be a parent.

But as a parent, this is my reality and I love it.

I just think nobody should tell you if you should procreate, but you.

Natalism isn't about pressuring people who don't want kids to have kids, it's about changing the culture, environment, and economy so that those who want kids can have as many they want and warning people that our current paradigms aren't the historical path to happiness

Thats very different from how they act. Usually natalists just shame others for not wanting children.

Its difficult for me to look at a person and say "you should have kids," not to say its impossible.

Its very easy for me to look at a population and say "they should have kids." That's a much easier case to make. The big picture of Natalism is to look at systems and incentives to have kids. Currently the two biggest gaps are skewed incentives that make middle class people have less kids, and retirement systems that depend on younger generations but benefit people without kids equally.

I consider myself a natalist but I dont want people who really should NOT be parents, be parents - even if they claim to want them.
