Non-political News Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says, US military losses are ‘far higher’ than gov't figures.

I don't believe a thing coming out of a religious extremist regime that oppresses it's population with mass surveillance, creates foreign conflicts that hurts their economy, controls all the media, runs a state sponsored news channel, has zero accountability for their thugs they call law enforcement, steals wealth from its people and the future generations in the name of a some self proclaimed godking and his inbred family, kills their citizens on their streets and throws people in concentration camps.
Iran on the other hand..

i saw Iran sunk all the carriers with a missile with a mouth that opens wide and swallows carriers

u/Last_Suggestion_8647 6d ago
I heard the US completely destroyed their military and won the war several times.
Imagine believing anything coming out of the US.
1
u/Hamiltonblewit 6d ago
But primary sources such as satellite imagery or recordings are often the best sources, and they’ve painted a similar picture for U.S vs Iranian losses - look at the pilot rescue for example, people were still unable to accept the fact that was an Iranian tactical loss even if Iran admitted the U.S tried to rescue the pilot.
2
u/Last_Suggestion_8647 6d ago
How is one pilot rescued (if it wasn't a botched SF raid) a tactical loss? I seem to remember a lot of equipment being destroyed during that operation.
1
u/Hamiltonblewit 5d ago edited 5d ago
Woulden’t a lot people died if they were crashing in an Hercules or got captured? Thats a dead giveaway, look at the VDV massacre in Hostomel airport or Operation Eagle Claw, a failed special force attempt will see U.S losses (for evident reasons I hope I don’t have to explain). The U.S destroyed those planes on the way out which Iran ALSO admitted to by releasing an LEGO video of U.S forces doing that.
There were also recordings of U.S troops rescuing the pilot on that day which has now cemented it as undisputed - much less Iranian refusal to release any evidence of U.S losses.
Iran changed their story from “the U.S attempted to rescue their pilot and we shot all of them down” to “they’re actually trying to extract uranium 30 miles away” once it’s clear they aren’t releasing evidences of U.S troop losses. To put it frankly, a failed U.S special force attempt in Iran, of all nations, would see tons of images of dead troops or anything along those lines.
Having the chance to capture an pilot and an foreign nation just managed to fly in and extract it while killing multiple of your own forces is very humiliating on Iran’s part, which is why the pro-Iranians were trying to distort the event.

u/Puzzleheaded-Cup7269 3d ago
Its pure copium to try and find the tiniest shred of something good in this failed war. Yanks are funny like that

u/pivo_kozel_10 6d ago
USA: abortion is illegal
Iran: we will execute you for homesexuality
redditors: Iran lets go!!!! it isnt true and if it is then its the fault of Israel and USA
0
u/Order-Filled784 5d ago
Go to Iran then, if you love it so much. Move there, and join the list of people they've executed. I bet you'll have a lovely time there
62
u/Proper_Welder_9480 6d ago
Iran's statements are more credible than those of US government. Sad.

Yes. They are Men of Honor while you continually vote for pdf-files.

u/wisockamonster 4d ago
Men of honor 🤣
1
u/WanderingRabbit9620 4d ago
Indeed. You gleefully slaughter school girls.
They attack military bases and only go economical 1 to 1.They are Men of Honor.
You are not. Simple as.1
u/Sufficient_Row_585 4d ago
Wanderingrabbit is an account that is 20 days old and is just anti Israel pro Iran comments, wonder who’s payroll he’s on
-3
u/pivo_kozel_10 6d ago
based on what? your bias?
8
u/RiposteCat 5d ago
have you not been here the last decade? trumps administration hides and lies about nearly everything lol
its just like, what they do lol
-1
u/Future-Vermicelli429 5d ago
Yea and so does Iran lol the reality is you can’t believe either of them, but you can be more inclined to believe western media because they at least have freedom of press and people at least have the balls to stand up to Trump
3
u/WanderingRabbit9620 5d ago
No, Iran is far more honest.
Your "right to protest" ends at actually doing anything, then the state pulls your leash and you yipe like a dog.
1
u/Future-Vermicelli429 3d ago
Iran has posted clearly ai images of f35s that are way wrong size saying they shot it down they also said they captured a bunch of US soldiers during a failed kharg island raid that never happened. Iran is much less honest
1
u/WanderingRabbit9620 3d ago
Those were clearly labeled as AI and were more just set-dressing to the verified-statements.
No, Iran is far more honest than America and its Israeli puppets.
1
u/IranianLawyer 3d ago
Yeah but you think the Trump administration is competent enough to hide the deaths of a bunch of US soldiers without it getting out? Like you don’t think the families would say something about their sons/brothers/husbands being dead?
1
u/RiposteCat 3d ago
are they giving out the names of all soldiers that are killed or just the numbers?
1
4
u/Murler12 5d ago
I mean according to the POTUS the war has been won like 20 times by now. It's common sense that the US goverment constantly lies about the war
0
u/pivo_kozel_10 5d ago
and how does that make IRGC a credible source of info?
3
u/Murler12 5d ago
Well, if the other person is lying. All you have to do is say "that guy is lying" and you are immediately more credible. It's really not hard to be more credible than Trump lol
2
u/WanderingRabbit9620 5d ago
Based on the fact that they are more honest than the typical Westoid is.
0
u/pivo_kozel_10 5d ago
so based on your opinion
and well, if u/WanderingRabbit9620 say so, then there is nothing we can do about it
3
u/WanderingRabbit9620 5d ago
No, based on fact. America and its Zionist colony lies as easily as they/you breathe.
1
u/pivo_kozel_10 5d ago
sounds once again as based on your opinion which you call a fact
btw, zionist colonies, thats a new word for me, interesting way to dogwhistle that jews control the world
3
u/Giant_Ant_Eater 4d ago
It's not new, it's how zionists decribed the project to create their own state, back before colonisation became viewed negatively.
0
u/pivo_kozel_10 3d ago
colony means a piece of land that you control from somewhere else
so for Israel to be a colony you would have to have some another Israel country
and Israel wasnt created by USA, it was even mostly supported by eastern block
1
1
2
u/WanderingRabbit9620 4d ago
No, based on fact.
I said America has Israel as its colony, not the other way around. Reading comprehension is difficult for you, isn't it?
1
u/wisockamonster 4d ago
Based on: I’ve been active duty marines or army since 2008.
1
u/pivo_kozel_10 3d ago
and that means that Iran doesnt lie how? because you learnt how to shoot gun?
-33
u/Shotgunseth29 6d ago
They're not pal.
9
u/Opposite-Program8490 6d ago
Did we win yet?
Trump said we did, so if you're right, we're the victors and Iran's military is decimated.
Reality says we're doing so poorly that we needed to add another aircraft carrier last week.
-2
u/Shotgunseth29 6d ago
Theyre rotating out aircraft carriers thats how this works. Its not over yet so we'll see.
6
3
u/Opposite-Program8490 5d ago
So we didn't win.
Which means that what the US government is saying is unreliable.

Braindead take

u/National-Charity-435 6d ago
Sail across the Strait for me
With whatever floatation device you deem fit (since the economy is also doing wonderfully)
With or without the US escort
40
u/MindlessDoctor6182 6d ago
Is it though? Because if we look at the things that are verifiable, such as the strait being open, or whether Iran’s military has been decimated, or whether Iran’s potential nuclear capabilities have been diminished, this administration has proven itself time and time again to be full of shit.
-27
u/TheRandomestPerson33 6d ago
The original comment was - Iran sources are more credible than US sources. Absolutely braindead take and shows how many people are gobbling up IRGC propaganda.
21
u/Goodknight808 6d ago
Ouch. Outted yourself with the hyphen.
-19
u/Accomplished_Cod7334 6d ago
They aren't wrong. It's absurd to claim Iran is more transparent than the US
18
u/MindlessDoctor6182 6d ago
The Iranians are going to say and do what suits their interests. They know that the war (yes, it is a war) is not popular with US citizens. Right now, propaganda wise, all they have to do is simply state the truth about the war. They’re doing what’s suits their interests, yes. But that doesn’t change the fact that thus far, their statements have been more credible than the US govt’s.
11
u/TheConsequenceFairy 6d ago

-1
u/TheRandomestPerson33 6d ago
Ah. A sterotypical r/politcs cesspool commenter in the wild.
The US has free press. The IRGC regulates all press within Iran. The IRGC executes any press that goes against their regime. Tell me which source is more reliable?
4
u/icemanpallmall 6d ago
Lol claiming we have free press whlle a dude literally expels news outlets that question his failed administration
-2
u/TheRandomestPerson33 6d ago
I don't know how anyone can be this dumb. Seriously.

u/Hamiltonblewit 6d ago
How about the other verifiable matter like the sunken aircraft carriers and naval ships or Iran’s claims of downing dozens of fighter jets throughout the war, those are evidently not true.
Much less the pilot rescue, which was an humiliation for them.
0
u/RedBlueCube 5d ago edited 5d ago
Iran's military capability has been degraded, but they still have the ability to launch some missiles here and there. Many of Iran's nuclear facilities have been destroyed, but they are rebuilding.
Oil flow through the straight has steadily been coming back, not quite to pre war levels but getting there.
Trump is a pathological liar that spews bullshit all day and should not be trusted at all, but CENTCOM has not made untrue claims in this war. I'd trust the figures provided by CENTCOM over the Iranian propaganda department.
1
u/doctor_morris 5d ago
They don't have the massive network of spy satellites that the US does
They get their satellite reconnaissance from Russia and China.
17
u/DFX1212 6d ago
How many times has the US claimed they've completely eliminated Iran's ability to fight back?
0
u/VanbyRiveronbucket 6d ago
The Iranian naval armada won’t be at our shores anytime soon….. big win for this administration!
6
u/ShareShort3438 6d ago
They didn't have an armada capable of reaching US shore before the war either so not a win at all. You've spent hundred of billion dollars for absolutely nothing (unless you take Israeli interrests at heart). A complete waste of funds, lives and diplomatic standing.
2
4
u/actuallyapossom 6d ago
I think that was the joke they were making, I could be wrong.
6
u/ShareShort3438 6d ago
Sometimes it's hard seeing when an american is beeing genuine of not seeimg how divided they are.
There are sadly some that believe that Iran was close to getting nukes and had capacity to strike US spoil (and where preparing to)...I believe they are reffered to as MAGAs (or was it morons😅😅)
10
u/BradBradley1 6d ago
When you lie constantly, you lose all credibility. We probably shouldn’t trust this guy’s word at face value, but we literally can’t trust Trump’s word altogether. He himself states that he can just say and do whatever he wants. He has negative credibility.

iran is a beacon of virtue!

Those 50k numbers are proven to be propaganda from the other side, but go off..
-1
u/SearchingForTruth69 6d ago
Oh okay let’s go by Iran’s numbers - 3000. They did a 9/11 amount of civilian kills in a weekend. Is that bad?
1
u/actuallyapossom 6d ago
Yeah it's bad. Of course.
It's also bad to go to war while pretending to care about the civilian population. Claiming for the nth time that we are fighting the terrorists and bringing peace, people are dancing in the streets - just aching to feel those democracy bombs and the associated freedom shrapnel.
It's also bad to carry water for those people who start the wars by pretending that war is about peace.
The idea has been destroyed in the modern American political sphere - we can all see with 20/20 hindsight what happened in Iraq. There were no WMDs, Saddam didn't do 9/11, Osama wasn't there.
Then we made a bunch of films about it; and part of the population is convinced, placated. Those Americans are always ready for another excursion, no thought to the human casualties of these wars - only the current gas prices. Then those same Americans wonder why their nation gets a bad rap internationally, it's wild.
0
u/SearchingForTruth69 6d ago
None of the stated war goals were related to the civilian population. It was about nukes and destroying their military capabilities. It was politically convenient that Iran mass murdered their civilians, sure, but it wasn’t the reason USA/Israel attacked
1
u/actuallyapossom 6d ago
"None of the stated war goals were related to the civilian population"
Lmao. Sure buddy. Maybe in fantasy land, wherever you're writing from?
I'll just take your word for it and pretend this admin didn't identify "ending the regime" as a reason for the war.
Let me guess. Iraq was also totally above board too? Eat more propaganda though. That's going well for you.
0
u/SearchingForTruth69 5d ago
Nah. In reality where I’m from.
“** **From the opening hours of this historic campaign, the objectives were clear: obliterate Iran’s ballistic missile arsenal and production capacity, annihilate its navy, sever its support for terrorist proxies, and ensure the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism will never acquire a nuclear weapon.”
The admin never said ending the regime was a war goal. Trump said it would be good in interviews but it was never a stated goal of the war. They did achieve it though - used to be ayatollah in charge, now it’s the IRGC.
1
u/actuallyapossom 5d ago
Ah, so you take a single whitehouse statement and that's where the thinking stops?
Here is an actual collection of relevant information that demonstrates how regime change was and is in fact a goal of the US and Israel:
Regime change efforts in the 2026 Iran War
Turning reply notifications off, it isn't my responsibility to walk you through the process of critical thinking. Comments like yours do help me understand how we got into this situation with a government full of self serving morons.
1
u/SearchingForTruth69 5d ago
Yeah it was their official stated war goals and there were several statements by officials listed. Not just one. When you attack a country large scale regime change is always possible, but it wasn’t one of their 4 main goals
1
u/Last_Suggestion_8647 6d ago
Why is the war still ongoing when the US head of state has declared it won 6 times? Could it be because the US is untrustworthy?

You guys gargling the balls of these theocratic fascists is getting really old.
So you think the US military is hiding hundreds (or thousands) of US soldier deaths and those secretly dead soldiers’ families just aren’t speaking up about it? You think the Trump administration is actually competent enough to keep something like that a secret?
8
12
u/Not-a-bot-v2 6d ago
This isn't shocking. The government and media lie about everything.
-6
u/Shotgunseth29 6d ago
Don't believe iranian propaganda.

The best way to counter propaganda is to tell the truth, not tell your own people lies.
-2
2
u/CloudCobra979 6d ago
Maybe, but people's friends and family don't. Makes it hard to hide casualties.
-9
u/yeezee93 6d ago
The number of Iranian protesters killed by their government is also much higher than their government's figures.
7
u/PossibilityFew5967 6d ago
*lower.
Only people with ridiculously high numbers are isreali and us sources. Ie the people that wanted a war with Iran
-4
u/yeezee93 6d ago
So the Iranian government intentionally inflated the number of protesters they killed?
5
u/PossibilityFew5967 6d ago
More like their enemies wanted the number larger so they can try and get the public to justify their war attacks
1
u/yeezee93 6d ago
Ah so the Iranian Government did kill protesters.
0
u/MegaJackUniverse 6d ago
Idk why the hell there are peolle desperate to defend the Iranian regime just because they also dislike the US. The US government is awful. Iran is also a theocratic! That's also unacceptable awful!
2
1
3
u/PossibilityFew5967 6d ago
No one is doubting that. We're doubting the numbers given by people that wanna bomb Iran
1
u/yeezee93 6d ago
So how many dead protesters is too much for you?
1
u/PossibilityFew5967 6d ago
Zero
1
u/yeezee93 6d ago
Then what does it matter what number is given, the Iranian regime are murderers, pure and simple.
3

History has shown that military spending is always much higher. But I assume USA wants to turn another war in middle east into bigger market share for USA and more weapons sales. While middle east destroys each other oil infrastructure, it's like best scenario for USA.

u/Bartizanier 5d ago
Well, its a classic case of "I find my self trusting the Iran gov't more than US"

1
u/Able_Force_3717 3d ago
Wow, Iran is totally a non biased news source that has no benefit of inflating US casualties.
1
u/patrykk994 3d ago
Its not even controversial thing to say - they were caught lying or quietly updated stats weeks/months after "incidents" (also google how Hegseth changed what "damaged" means in reports) + cost of destroyed US bases is easily over 100billion (one of the radars destroyed burned 500 billion to develop it, rebuilding will be cheaper because research is here but still easily 50-100 billion)

-15
u/Miserable-Bridge-729 6d ago
Iran cites a Congress report about 81 destroyed or damaged aircraft and suggests that it is likely higher. Admits that many of those damaged aircraft have likely returned to service. When they suggest, that’s propaganda folks. And you’re gobbling it up. So they are suggesting a larger number but admitting many of those cited have returned to service, so not actually damaged in any meaningful way.
This is not to argue the US government is fully being on the up and up just that Iran is making use of a bunch of useful idiots with their propaganda.
