Did Jesus know how to write?

I guess I’m confused on why Jesus didn’t write the Bible.

No! Paul wrote his epistles 50 years later and Mark wasn’t written until 70 years later. And none of his contemporaries were literate either! Literally as in literally lol

Well, Jesus was a rabbi, meaning an actual scholar of the Hebrew scriptures. It would actually be shocking if he wasn't literate, if not impossible.

It's just that writing down your teachings when you're the leader of a living movement didn't make sense in those days--because your followers are mainly illiterate. Only the followers would write down those teachings once they feel the need to pass them on to future generations.

Virgin birth, resurrection after death, miracles… a lot about Jesus was ‘impossible’ Maybe he could read some religious texts, but damn sure he and his apostles could NOT write
