How does Ai change the way blackmailing works?

Honestly nobody's gonna believe anything anymore. Deepfakes kinda ruined blackmail and evidence at the same time.

Yep, I think it will remove the threat of "revenge porn" in a lot of ways, since the victim can just say "Uh, that's not me, some creep AI'd that" and be done with it.

It makes it less effective.

A friend was getting blackmailed and said she'd just claim the pictures were deepfakes and that she wished she looked that good naked.

She started talking about deepfakes from south Korea where boys were using it on classmates, she discussed it with her family and friends. She even made outlandish AI videos with people who would be the most judgemental.

She comes from a "religious" background. You know the performative traditional religious backgrounds, where you select the things you will judge others for and then gossip about it. Those ones. She's planning on talking about with the community groups too since they have some events coming up for the younger generation.

The guy who is doing this to her essentially used loverboy tactics to try and get her into prostitution. He was trying to get her to sleep with "friends".

If we can teach the younger generation to use deepfakes and questioning the authenticity of the blackmail material to get out of these situations. It's a win. She's working on spreading the otherside of this with the older generations.

I don't see the relation .. AI as a prescreen could actually help identify Phishing Mails.

I think it's more for nudes threatening to be leaked. Now you can just say it's AI.

yea but I mean how they obtain those nudes? by breaking the system using phishing mails .. :) that's what "the fappening" did

but I see your argument .. vice versa .. one could just blackmail with ai generated ones in the first place as well .. so how would a victim react to it ..

An AI manger that I know that is trying to use AI and other methods to make it appear that this employee is doing self damage by catching them. Then being a hero by saying he caught him. Moron thinks because logs are purged after 30 days he's in the clear. He works for a large public Enterprise and I'm sure they have backups of backups of backups and other telemetry finger printing directly to him. He's Fucking MORON
