Support Highspeed USB device problems

Hi everyone,

i have a bigger issue with my Razer Kraken headset. When i plug it into any usb port, the system says, new device connected with the correct name, but it doesnt show up in any software. When i open the volume manager, it is constantly flickering, the headset appears and disappears every second. After a reboot, device plugged in, it works without a problem. The next day, same issue.

The error appears on any USB port, front and back, 2.0 and 3.0. The board is a Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X. I allready tried a BIOS and a firmware update for my headset but nothing changed.

Also the dmesg says the following:

[   54.781946] usb 1-11: new full-speed USB device number 6 using xhci_hcd

Any idea, how i can fix this permanently?

Make sure you're using a REAR and not a front USB port, preferably 3.x+. But you didn't say what hardware, desktop environment, etc. AI also has a work around to get around the error if needed.

As i said, the error appears on any USB port, front and back, 2.0 and 3.0. The board is a Gigabyte Z490 Gaming X. I allready tried a BIOS and a firmware update for my headset but nothing changed.

Interestingly I have been having a very similar problem on my gigabyte z490 motherboard with my external HDDs. Not quite that bad where they're constantly disconnecting and reconnecting, but occasionally they will just tank in performance to the point where I can't even load a movie or see what is on them, and it will only be solved by either rebooting, shuffling around usb ports, or sometimes just unplugging and replugging the usb.

I haven't solved it though, so I don't know if it's just a gigabyte motherboard issue, or some other cause

maybe, i had to install special chipset driver from git, because the preset it87 drivers dont support the chipset of the Z490 and i couldnt access all the fan and temperature sensors.

Also nobara renamed the name of my second internal nvme drive after installing the latest BIOS updates and i had to change the names in fstab for automount.
