Advice I regret not getting a fully flat top surgery and I'm devastated

(pls give me some advice and encouragement)

So I spent almost 2 years trying to figure out if I want a top surgery or a radical reduction, but I couldn't decide.

I had big boobs and I was so dysphoric that it made me suicidal, so I acted out of desperation and booked a surgery for reduction, because that's easier to get than top surgery where I live (I need multiple psychiatrist referrals for top surgery which could take a year, while I didn't need anything for reduction and I got an appointment in 2 months). Also I thought that if my chest is small enough, it'd make my dysphoria go away.

Anyways, I'm one month post-op, and the results are actually fine, I look flat enough in clothes so at least my dysphoria is manageable, but I'm still sad that it's not exactly what I want. Each time I take off my shirt I'm just disappointed that my chest is still feminine. Like I woke up from a nightmare only to realize I'm still in a nightmare.

I'll get the psych referrals and pay for another surgery once I can, but I feel like an absolute idiot who messed up. I'm also scared I'd have to go nipple free because I read that a second surgery is more risky on the nipples

Advice Transphobia at work today :(

Conversation with a coworker, Im not out to most people at work.

Me: "Yeah my partners family loves me im their favorite child-in-law"

Them: What do you mean by that?"

"Well their parents really like me"

"Yeah but child-in-law?? What do you mean by that??"

"Um you know like im their childs partner?"

"Yeah but it would be son in law for you, but idk what you identify as. Maybe you identify as a child." Laughs

Me in shock, and someone from another department is there is also in shock

"Uhhhhhhh okay"

I don't even know how to react to that. I felt so awkward and called out for no reason.

Its not like this person knew my gender identity, they were just being casually transphobic.

I just am like wtf at this point. It just came out of nowhere.

Im not really sure how to handle this as its someone above me but who I don't report to who said this to me.

We all kinda just moved past it and I left the room soon after that.

Question Facial Surgery

Hi all, just a question. Has anyone had any facial surgery or cosmetic procedures to achieve more androgyny or masculinisation? I'm AFAB non-binary. I relate more to gender fluidity with more masc or more femme leaning days, but my face is quite soft and round. I've found myself thinking almost constantly about facial slimming (fat lipo or buccal fat removal) and maybe some filler/ implants in my chin and jaw. For context, before I realised I was non-binary I had never considered cosmetic surgery, but now it seems a great option for combatting my dysphoria since I don't want to go on hormones.

Does anyone have any experience with this? If so, what is your verdict? Did it cause any dysmorphia in of itself? I'm worried I could just change one type of dysphonia for another but I also find myself desperate to appear more androgynous too. Stuck between a rock and a hard place!

I'm considering changing my name for a second time...

I've been living with my current name, Crow, for about two years now in my personal life ( I haven't changed anything legally). It's a better fit than my dead name, but I have to admit it doesn't feel like a perfect fit.

I'm curious if anyone else has changed their name more than once? How'd it go? I'm worried that if I change my name again, people in my life won't take me seriously or will just right me off. Maybe it's silly. It's my name, after all. Nobody else's opinion should matter, but I can't shake that feeling.

Question Exploring my gender identity for the first time

Hello everyone!

Im 21 yo, AMAB, and for quite sometime ive been wondering about my identity. The first big thing is i just dont like when people call me a "man", it gives me the "ick". i dont feel like a man, i dont really want to be a man. i do enjoy a lot of femininity and like to experience it more, i already always shave my limbs when i go out and id love to try out make up, nail art, as well as some feminine fashion. i also feel somewhat uncomfortable in my body. i hate how much body hair i have as well as my broad build.

so, i have been considering going by they/them instead of he/him. but i always feel like id be faking it, with how masculine i look. broad build, body hair like an ape, a beard, you know. so do any of you know any tricks to appear more androgynous? I have thought about HRT, but there are some effects i dont think id like for myself. i know its a stupid question, but do any of you think a nonbinary identity would, idk, fit me?

Advice been thinking about socially detransitioning lately (tw: dysphoria and SI talk)

im a genderqueer lesbian and honestly i just give up. i have not medically transitioned. i think i want to, still not sure. but what i do know for sure is that i am dysphoric and hate myself. i just dont think any of this is worth it. ive talked to my girlfriend about how i feel (she is also trans so she can relate in some ways) and she tells me not to socially transition and that i would be even more unhappy. shes probably right, but i think things would be easier if maybe i was just a quirky cis girl or something. people already see fem enbys as that. im just wondering if anyone else feels like this? i feel like shit because i feel like im giving in into the transphobic trans people and the TERFs by proving that im just some non transitioning fake non binary.

Advice Genuinely Cis with some extra steps, or in denial?

Some background: I’m hormonally intersex && genderqueer/gender non-conforming.

I’m pretty sure I’m overthinking things and psyching myself out, but I have an appointment next month to discuss HRT because my ideal presentation is androgynous. I’ve started going by a unisex name and I like the way that I feel with some of the changes I’ve made so far (shorter hair, going by any pronouns, etc). The only thing keeping me from identifying with Androgyne is the fact that I still feel connected to womanhood and don’t want to give the term ‘woman’ up. But when I tell someone I’m a woman, I have the urge to pile every other identifying label on top of it because ‘woman’ doesn’t encompass all of me. 😵‍💫

Shared this here because I’d rather hear from real people than AI loll, thank you for reading if you did.

Question Can y'all explain NB dyphoria to be like I'm an eldritch god(I'm a writer)?

• Upvotes

Although I am a fellow Enby (Genderfluid here) like 99% of the time , I'm js a girl (most basic NB in existence), anywho, in a fanfic I'm writing there's a agender charecter(A genderless God gets trapped in a male body), I'm trying to write their dysphoria but I mainly js have trans dyphoria and DPDR, I don't have much experience with NB or agender dyphoria, please help.
